I’m all for horror games having a multiplayer or co-op feature. Resident Evil Resistance had a good core idea but I think the design was kind of lacking. Not sure who this multiplayer mode is for.

Pillars is one of those games I always want to try but I was born a few years too late and I mostly missed the real time with pause phase. It would take a lot of work for me to get into it.

Unpopular opinion maybe but I kind of think Obsidian peaked at New Vegas. I enjoyed what I played of Outer Worlds but I also thought it was very average.

It’s wild that it took the owners of these large franchises so long to realize that these type of games don’t have to be tied in with movies.

Larian, who released Baldurs Gate 3 early access earlier this year, is always very open about the development process. They delayed the BG3 release a few times. They said for the most part they were able to transition to work from home but they couldn’t do motion capture for cutscenes and animations without being in

Yeah she’s still the main creator face behind Harry Potter. Until WB separates her from the franchise, which for many reasons one of which being WB won’t care until it effects their wallet, is just not gonna happen.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve mostly just decided to let Persona 5 and Fire Emblem: Three houses fill that hole in my heart.

All of this and it is honestly just a game.

I’m inclined to agree with the reviewer/embargo sellout take.

Yeah Duncan Jones’ post Moon movies have been mixed. But he’s always trying something that is unique enough that I’m always willing to give him a chance. He also seems like a nice guy who is pretty humble, which kind of makes me forgiving of his movies flaws and more willing to give his future projects a chance.

Not only that but because of this the mission design is really bland. (15 hours in) I’ve never felt like the character build I made has accomplished anything that another character build couldn’t have. The best example being doors that require strength to get through are often 4 steps away from doors that require

If memory serves correctly, the deep roads are difficult. Glad it didn’t discourage you from playing! Jealous you get to experience Origins for the first time. Plenty about it that didn’t age well but I still think Origins has more meaningful choice with lasting consequences than most other mainstream RPGs. There are

Yeah I think the only real competition Microsoft will face is something from Sony. Game Pass is super varied which keeps it great but with like EA or Ubisoft you’ve got sequels and expansions making up a bulk of the library.

Yeah I think the Dark Pictures Anthology achieves the choose your own adventure feel better. They are shorter games but each character seems to have a lot more variation on how their story can play out.

I see that common criticism but I always think it is the new games strengths.

Free idea for Kotaku: Games to play with your parents.

If there are too many cases from the “darkest part” of their community, it kind of sounds like it’s just the whole community.

God I would kill for Persona 5 on Switch. Even though I’m not even taking the train anymore because of COVID it would still be nice to play it in different rooms or when my girlfriend wants to use the TV.  It’s a long fricken game and I need every chance I can to play it.

People who buy consoles buy them because they don’t want to look at PC specs and system requirements. Do you really think most people who bought an original Xbox One in the last seven years really know what kind of graphics card it has?

While I’m inclined to agree with you, I think there is a big knowable difference between the James Gunn stuff and the Carano stuff. They aren’t making any hasty decision but that fact that Carano wasn’t confirmed for this show (when the show leaked with her name attatched two weeks ago) says a lot.
