I think the consensus is that the designers vape LSD.

They had free maintenance and - or a better warranty.

Read no NOx emissions allowed. No lean burn for you! It’s the missing link to safer, more efficient cars.

Oh, all car hoods these days are at pickup truck heights. Except for the Corvette.

The current Taurus is tiny inside. The 500 Taurussat had considerably more usable space inside. The Fusion is narrower, but has a longer interior. If you won’t be carrying 3 in the back often, you’ll find it to be more spacious.

I have only ridden in a DCT Focus, but it was smooth. I have driven a DCT Fiesta, and it was very smooth and quite rev happy. Perhaps slightly too rev happy a few times. Much *much* smoother than my VW GTI’s dsg has been post its mechatronics replacement at 50k miles.

As stunning as those Touaregs’ interiors are, remember that they were built in the Piech days. He certainly traded every bit of long term durability of the interior and reliability of the electrics / non-powertrain systems for the beautiful interior. I don’t think the larger engines are particularly reliable either. I

Still better than the BMW N54’s design, which is basically the fsi’s fuel pump with the follower fused onto the end (and ridiculously difficult to access). I got lucky on my ‘07 GTI. Replaced the original follower at 119k...argued with the dealer to campaign it (the black coating was worn *mostly* off, but the

Second best sounding V8 I’ve ever heard in a car that I’ve personally either driven or been a passenger in...first is the RS4’s 4.2 FSI.

Every car needs to adopt the GM system, where the lights are automatic whether you want them to be automatic or not. They should activate if the wipers are used too, not just because it’s dark. They should also stay on for the entire duration of the drive if they find the need to turn on for more than 30 seconds.

The 1.8t is actually pretty much bulletproof with regular synthetic oil changes and timing belt changes...and if the owners add oil before it’s a quart low!

Everyone wants 3 abreast seating.

I loved my ‘98 Intrepid ES. It was not a particularly reliable car, but it was a great cruiser, and just shockingly fun to drive. You could throw that car around any corner and always oversteered the tiniest amount, and was completely unphasable at anytime. Bumps, potholes, curbs, rain, leaves, gravel...no worries.

The state bird of Louisiana is the mosquito.

and I fail cuz I called the ‘74 a ‘73! Here’s us starting the 74...

The Espadas are gone...they belonged to my step-dad. The 69 ended up in Germany where it is supposedly getting a full restoration, and the 73 ended up going to a collector / restorer in Ohio...then I saw it listed for sale at Gullwing Motor Cars...where it was listed as being in need of a minor cosmetic restoration,

Unless it’s huge no one will ever notice. Even if they do notice, it doesn’t look worse than the stickers after the fact.

And my MK5 2.0t FSI engined GTI pumps real noise thru a real snorkus into the cabin! Sounds amazing though. I'm not sure why they did the "SoundAktor" at all...they implemented it halfway through the MK6's run if I'm remembering correctly. The TSI doesn't sound quite as good as the FSI imo (it has less friction, so

Yeah...just go to Auto Zone / Advance Auto Parts or Walmart...get two of the oil change specials at either of the former two...Advance sells the OEM Mann fleece oil filters, and the Fram Ultra 8481 is actually just as high quality, maybe even higher, and prolly available at all 3 places. So for ~$70 you have 10

Exactly!
