Because it satisfies base instincts that are inherent in everyone (at least all men) - instincts that make us want to dominate and kill our rivals or anyone we perceive as an enemy.
@Mooncow27: Less buttons are not always better. For example, I wouldn't want to trade in my PS3 or 360 controller for a Genesis pad.
@presto117: That kind of casual "oh, that's cool" won't necessarily translate into "here, take my $150".
@kev873: Wow, I completely mis-read your statement - hence the "No idea what you're talking about" (been a long day); though the "realistic" statement in my other reply still stands.
@kev873: No idea what you're talking about, but an outlook isn't supposed to be "nice", but instead "realistic".
@mariospants: It is not relevant what a "professional editor for a major newspaper" thinks - their personal opinion does not trump the definition of a word.
Kinect is going to be one of the biggest failures in gaming history, on par with devices like the 3DO, Virtual Boy, and Atari Jaguar.
@Kaiser-Machead: There are lots of things that I wouldn't care for my coworkers to look at, but I don't know if that makes them not safe...
@Lupison: How is that NSFW?
@kahoona: You're just arguing semantics at this point. My point stands.
@Lucavi: You are simply incorrect. Monopoly does not imply ownership or exclusivity of decision making one way or another.
@JEmlayUSA: The output will equal the print out in the vast majority of instances. I have used both XPS and PDF writers hundreds of times on a wide variety of documents and have never had a single instance where the print out did not exactly mirror the file.
@Webran61: Yeah, my workaround at this point is never storing passwords in Chrome. =X
@skylr616: Ouch indeed.
I use Chrome for everything (except sites that require IE - internal company stuff mostly). It is an incredibly quick, intuitive, and highly functional browser.
@eliavictor: It does not offer a "Print Preview" function (though it seems it should, right?) but an alternative would be to print to the built in XPS Writer (assuming Windows Vista or higher) or use a PDF Printer.
@kahoona: Absolutely because (wait for it) it fits the exact literal definition of a monopoly.
Yeah, you should really vet these types of tips before passing them along - this one in particular is not a good idea.
Responsible consumerism is a great concept, but it is by no means a substitute for the international community "growing a pair" in regards to the countless atrocities that take place in (primarily) Africa and other places around the world.
