You’re all insane. Did you not watch the Indians in the 90s? The masterful defense, the terror on the basepaths, the bat that was better than you remember, all being completely overlooked here!

I wouldn’t interpret her comment as suggesting that there’s something wrong with Skyrim, more that it’s just not for her. Personally, I love Skyrim immensely and only liked Breath of the Wild. That doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with BotW, either (obviously, given the love it’s getting on every game of the

Interesting, thanks for the response. Heightens my interest, I’ll definitely check out some videos.

Super Mario Odyssey > Breath of the Wild, so you can buy your Switch for two games. Then there’s Mario + Rabbids, Golf Story, portable versions of Skyrim and Doom...

It definitely reinvents the series, but it’s also probably the closest thing to the original Legend of Zelda of all the subsequent Zelda games (at least that I’ve played). It just transforms the freedom of exploration in that game into something more modern and, well, free.

I personally loved Pyre and highly recommend it. I thought it was the best SuperGiant game (I liked Bastion, didn’t spend too much time with Transistor). The art and music are beautiful, the choices you make are consequential, and I thought the NBA Jam-esque battle system/minigame was a ton of fun.

I’m very confused. I was led to believe that Jason Schreier does not like any JRPGs whatsoever, and, furthermore, that his unmitigated loathing of the genre poisoned his reviews... now he’s pushing for the release of a JRPG series in the West? It’s almost like he DOES like JRPGs and just didn’t like one that he

You see that Amiga over there? You can play Skyrim on it.

I don’t KNOW I won’t like it. I suspect that I might not, but won’t know until I play it. And sometimes things look unappealing on the surface but turn out to subvert that impression substantially. I didn’t think I liked fantasy much until I played Witcher 3, which is now my favorite game. And I played it because I

This comment is delightfully stupid.

It’s looking like I might be able to wrap up Assassin’s Creed: Origins this weekend... or at least get close. But there are still so many parts of the map to unlock, and I’ve been hesitant to push the main quest forward since I got one of those “are you sure you want to keep going?” prompts, so we’ll see.

West of Loathing is my favorite game of 2017 that absolutely nobody is talking about. It may be my favorite game of 2017, period. Not the BEST from an objective “is this game pushing the medium” standpoint, but the one I loved the most. Go dig in some spittoons!

Oh word? That makes me a little nervous. At least I’m not super into the story, although I really like Bayek and Aya as characters (and I thought some of the quests were really effective, particularly The Crocodile). I mostly just wanna gallop around gorgeous Egypt, I keep putting off the main quest to dick around.

If Chance King doesn’t become a flamboyant Vegas gambler/grifter, I riot.

PUBG seems ripe for the kind of edited television presentation that made poker blow up on ESPN about 10 years ago. Trimming the fat and interspersing gameplay with info about strategy, background on players, and then focusing on the last ~5-10 players once the circle tightens could be a really interesting viewing

Haha, appreciate the sympathy! Have they announced when it’s expected to come out of beta? I might just wait for that, I still really want to try the single player campaign...

Jordan’s fine when you have Chris Paul. When Chris Paul goes to Houston, Clint Capela turns into DeAndre Jordan (with better offense) and Jordan turns into Tristan Thompson.

Barry Bonds saved SF baseball. Too bad he’s more remembered for taking substances that weren’t banned by MLB at the time like half the rest of the league, instead of for rescuing the Giants from the brink and being the greatest player of my lifetime (sorry Mike Trout, you might get there).

Mickey Tettleton AND Rob Deer? The Three True Outcomes Musketeers!
