Yeah, trying to defend this one because “pro-choice” feels like a poison pill and doesn’t look good either way. If people were nuanced enough to not paint everything about abortion as black-and-white then we’d be able to say that abortion is fine but self-terminating a premie probably isn’t.

Agreed.  Also, as someone on the spectrum, I doubt I’d ever give the response that people think is “appropriate.”  Not saying she is; just saying that judging people on their snap responses during a tragedy is pretty awful IMO.

Why are we reporting on what she said, this seems and feels targeted to turn her into some sort of villain here. All reporting on this will do and using that as a headline is make her even more of a target for the public. This is cruel.
