That’s true now. I recall reading a passage from sometime after the fall of Rome and before the Norman conquest, where someone wrote that there were five groups on the island - English, British, Scottish, Pictish, and one more (Nordic?). These were written with the spelling of the time, something like Anglisch,

I was thinking that Britain is the island with England, Scotland, etc. A Scottish guy I knew would get annoyed when people thought “British”meant “English”.  Not sure if that would change if Scotland breaks from the UK.

If that “apology” didn’t work, he has this for deflection.

I’m going to nitpick here and say that, for future reference, you’ll want to use nitpicking or perhaps nit-picking.

Plenty of people in Cuba have lineage straight back to Europe. Franco playing Castro is like African immigrants in Britain playing US characters, or Ana de Armas (sp?) playing Marilyn Monroe.

There are plenty of blondes in Galicia.

Of course they do. That’s why I said “usually”. From what I’ve seen, the most egregious cases are in GOP territory.

deceitful and under-handed tactics….extremely confusing framing of the question overall….this appeared on a primary election ballot, for which voter turnout tends to be much lower.

It seems no amount of wealth you hoard can stop parents or any older family members, really, from making unsolicited comments and offering all kinds of nasty, unsolicited advice about your body.

Unfortunately, no.

This author, like many/most of the new crop of writers, has never responded to a post, and has given zero stars. So yeah, pretty sure that won’t be corrected. And as VirtualParticle noted, they got the name of Shakira’s husband wrong, too. 

Wow, my eyes skipped right over the “Gerald” part. Yeah, they’ve given up.
