Haha, I do live in NJ, but in an area without many RHONJ / Jersey Shore types. When I think of people I know with Italian or Jewish surnames, pale skin comes to mind. The idea that they should automatically be “Mediterranean”, as a few others have suggested,  is ludicrous.
