The silicone we use with fantasy shops, compared to more mainstream stuff, is much softer. Customers tend to want things that are very squishy. It does look like a menacing claw, but it’s made out of marshmallow, basically.

You mentioned Connecticut, but not the difference between their superior version of a lobster roll, and Maine’s lobster salad version:
Mr. Sparkle! But that was just a lightbulb crossed with a fish.
I would guess that “bollocks” in the US is only slightly less uncommon than “codswallop”. I would also guess that “bollocks” would be considered a cutesy word, like how Americans view the word “shag”.
I think a lot of ozzy’s “I’m so out of it” is an act, so that when they don’t want to pay royalties (see Daisley, Kerslake, and Lee), he can point the finger at Sharon and pretend he’s not the bad guy.
Meanwhile this guy demands a vaccine. If you have two minutes to spare and like hard rock, it’s quite funny/disturbing.

Maybe they’re Trumpies? In my family, the biggest Trump supporters are from MA and CT. Most of their kids are grown, and several of them have moved to solid-red states. I would have replied directly to your response to me, but your gray comment is in a long thread, so kinja won’t let me.
Aren’t fennel and anise similar? I think one is stronger than the other, but I dislike both.
I don’t know about that. I like plenty of things others love to hate (Brussels sprouts, Lima beans, mayonnaise, ham & pineapple pizza, and candy corn, to name a few that come to mind). I dislike black licorice for the same reason I dislike ouzo and sambuca - anise is a terrible flavor.
Not the point, but for future reference you’ll probably want piqued rather than peaked.
You’d think that a site in decline would try to keep their commenters. Instead, they seem to act like it’s as vibrant here as it was when Denton was the owner.
Think of it this way - if you’d use his or hers, you’d use its or whose.

What’s crazier is, China has pressured a number of Muslim-majority nations to do its bidding regarding Uyghurs.
