I didn’t see the Rick Perry interview on CNBC Squawk Box but form what I can tell it is your typical infuriating interview where Perry gets to say something mind-numbingly stupid and nobody thinks to follow-up with a simple, “Um, where are you getting that nonsense from, exactly?”

Brilliant human with very human issues. It does not negate her value or importance, but the opposite, it provides with an even greater insight into who she was and how anybody can have these same struggles,rich-poor, old-young, black-white, brilliant or otherwise.

I agree, although it is a clumsily written (the quoted AP part, I mean).

Although they aren’t officially blaming the heat, I gotta believe it is a factor. It has been HOT in Sacramento and it is going to stay that way all week.

Absolutely not, I could not disagree more. The TV series is laborious and drawn out and in my mind feels nothing like the book.

I may be in the minority, but I went on vacation for a couple of weeks, recorded some episodes and really haven’t felt the need to catch up. I read the book, loved it, but the series just seems to me to try SO HARD to be .... something. I really wish they had made it into a single season mini-series, they are just

I watched one of those horribly cheesy SyFy movie...Mega-shark or something and it had one extremely redeeming quality. The guy got a pressurized tank in the shark’s mouth and then shot at it. Nothing happened and the guy next to him said, “What did you think was going to happen?”
