this is a larger issue than a thumbs up by ew&f or other musicians. this issue is about someone who refuses to denounce racism against blacks and other minorities PROFITING off of those blacks and minorities. she needs to take several seats.

as i stated on an FB posting, what makes this particular appropriate egregious is that taylor swift REFUSES to disavow the white nazis who consider her their aryan queen. so she has no damn right to put her white hands on anything black to increase her aryan coffers.

I was waiting for maybe a drop, or some tonal shift, but it remained dull. They added like a cymbal swell, but that was the most energetic thing about it.

It is not a Linda Ronstadt song. Lori Lieberman wrote and sang it first but Roberta Flack made it popular.

White Americans? Not so much. Brits? Yes.

Shut the fuck up.

No.

I heard she was gonna try to get Celebration but all 27 members of Kool and the Gang vetoed it. Yes, it involved some necromancy but it was worth it.

Ok, I’ll give it a listen. I can keep an open mind...

She turned an Earth Wind and Fire song into pop-country.

Who asked for this? What’s the intended audience for this song? Whoever asked: “Hey do you ever want to listen to September by Earth, Wind and Fire but like a mood-killing sad version w/ overbearing guitars?

Well, they have to protect their white queen.

and she’s consistently mediocre af

Bless your heart.

Get a fucking grip.

This was the Musical equivalent of eating Toast with only Mayonnaise and washing it down with a glass of whole milk.

Not Pat Boone levels of cringe... It’s way too bland to even register that reaction

This is going to be “tasteful” background music at so many washed white people’s weddings.

This could have been cool with a different type of artist. The genuine exuberance of the original just can’t possibly be replicated by an artist like Taylor Swift who has one of the most inauthentic public personas in pop culture. Verdict: not special.

I was expecting to hate the song off the rip because it was taylor and she’s consistently mediocre af but honestly she didn’t sound that bad in her return to her country roots.
