Modern cars are planned obsolescence, they are also extremely dependent on computers and modern materials...which are harder for the garage restoration chap to fab up. Old cars are made simpler, with large tolerances and generally will be easier to restore.

I really have a hard time believing that any modern car will make it 100 years into the future. But if any has a chance its a land cruiser.

You guys ever driven a Jeep on the highway? Add mud tires and a lift to the mix, and you're gonna have a bad time.
