Anyone else see the spawn of a menajahtwa between a GM EV1, Subaru SVX and the IRobot Audi?

You can see the very deformed sled under it in the first picture. The rig would also have a drag chute deployed as it left the aircraft to stabilize the flight, which would have kept it upright during the fall even if the main chute didn't deploy.

Not disagreeing the RR is a very capable OHV. I have seen them far back in the middle of nowhere where I wouldn't take my LC; but only because I have far more capable, purpose built vehicles. And yes, the LC is an ugly duckling compared to the RR... it is, or at least was, beautiful. Not digging the new face.
Also agreed, but luxo SUVs will never go back to manual xfer cases, and locking differentials, let alone manual trans. I also own a "real" 4x4 with the above components along with the Luxo SUV and have/do own(d) others, so I completely understand your points.
I was not thrilled with the electronic nannies on the LC, but most can be overridden. It's still far more mechanical of a system than the RR's Terrain Response system.
Agreed, if you don't use/need an SUV, none of these options make sense, when a wagon, minivan, or crossover can provide as much room and lux for less money. We've "used" our LC, much to the wife's disparagement.
Thank you! :) Wasn't expecting that.
Drive one, you'll see. Also, it wont leave you stranded in the middle of Death Valley...
You "forgot" the Land Cruiser in your alternatives... and positive it can off-road just as well as the RR.
Mad props for class 11. No idea how you do it. For Baja, there are a ton of "rock star" moments, in contingency and along the course. It's an amazing place where the people LOVE you (mostly). Only thing close to it in the states is the MINT, not quite as glamorous, but close. Not so much in Barstow, Lucerne,…
Sounds easy, try off-road if you arent a Trophy Truck team. The driver... er, navigator, er, mechanic, er, team cook, er, pit gopher,... etc. A team that consists of 4 permanent members, all drivers or co-divers, and a hand full of volunteers who know very little about mechanics, let alone that particular car. Not…
