I work in downtown Gatineau/Ottawa. I can leave my phone open, on my desk and can easily do 10km/day without moving(I did it 3 times so far), just with the recalculation. To answer the question of ajdragoon, no, if I look on google map, it can jump around a little but not nearly as bad as Pokemon Go.
