American cars have a huge following in Europe. Everyone loves a V8.

DOHC 30-valve V6? I’ve heard bad things about them.

Great news! It finally is. Delivered the last one a little over a year ago.

Yes the very same Toyota that has one exciting car in their entire line up, the 86, that’s manufactured by Subaru. Who had to team up with BMW to design, and Magna-Styer to actually build it’s next fun car, the new supra. Which we’ve all be waiting for since 2002. Who cares if they’re winning races, we’re talking

Late 1980s Toyota Maybe, but that Toyota died a long long time ago, there isn’t one fun bone left in their hulking body. Their idea of “simplifying and adding lightness” is the 4 speed automatic they still sell.

Volvo 850 seats not very good!? are you mad? No car from that era has better’uns. Even the cloth ones are superb, I once drove one for 24 hours straight and I wasn’t even stiff when I climbed out. Just like the newest Volvo’s the 850 interior (especially the refreshed 1996-1997 models) are a triumph.

Wind resistance isn’t cd. Wind resistance = cd 1/2 ρ v2 A in short you need to multiply the cd x the frontal area to get a good approximation of the total drag.

What’s missing is the torque curve, your 1FZ-FE makes 275lb-ft with much of that available pretty much at idle. This combined with the torque multiplication of the torque converter is helping shuffle the heft along.

100% this.

Booooooo! You know nothing about these people, other than their act of kindness and you are still trying to poke holes in it? Shame on you.

Now playing

V6 engines aren’t in and of themselves a bad thing:

Ralph! You neglected the best part! Cars in New Zealand are not required to have insurance. meaning you can buy a car, get an inspection on it, and walk into an MOT with a US/Commonwealth drivers license, and be driving sweet JDM goodness all in the same (expensive) day!

In a turbo context(which should also work for nitrous) I’ve heard it works especially well with flex fuel capable motors as the fuel pump/injectors need to have extra overhead to compensate for lower energy density of ethanol.

E46 325/330xi touring with a manual. My brother just picked a 325xi for 2,800$ Canadian Pesos. We just slapped a set of H&R lowering springs on it. I’m blown away by the handling.

I’ve been wondering about how that will work, on a carb motor just adding nitrous doesn’t add any significant power, or so the internet says, but you would think a fuel injection motor would sense the lean condition and add more fuel, and thus power.

“As for power, it’s probably hardly worth discussing since the 3.2-liter diesel in this truck would need a completely different particulate filtration system to be legal in America.”

“Big rigs use air instead of liquid to control their trailer brakes because the lines are just too long to run fluid through all the way from the cab”

Not necessarily, who cares if the wheel hops a bit, as long as the steering/power/price are all together i for one wouldn’t care.

Get lost. Making any distinctions among the victims of Nazism, serves no point beyond being a twat.
