I don’t know if this helps but if I might quote David Frum from yesterday’s Marketplace episode on NPR: Separate ‘Republican’ actions from ‘Trump’ actions...

Excellent comparison, this is very similar. One key difference though, we always thought the end of the world would come because of our enemies, not because of the dumpster fire from within. We still had someone to have faith in, during the cold war we thought that our government was working in our best interests.
In the UK, there’s the realisation that the US collapsing will likely mean a swift post-Brexit UK-US trade deal, as it suddenly becomes the sole good PR low hanging fruit available to Trump.
The Mexican President has already cancelled because of Trump’s wall. The ex-President of Mexico, Fox, has also implied that if we build a wall, we can kiss any Mexican law enforcement cooperation goodbye. Trump and his base probably either aren’t aware of the level of cooperation between our two nations’ law…
I’m placing blame on people who went into the election knowing who Donald Trump was and what was at risk but were butthurt over Hillary getting the nod or some other bullshit and cast a “protest vote” or didn’t vote at all, which helped get us to where we are today.m
BUT THEIR HANDS AND CONSCIENCES ARE CLEAN!!!1!
BUT HER EMAILS! Right Bernie Bros and Stein-heads. You can all go burn in hell for the part you played in making this nightmare a reality, fuck all of you.
This is more red meat to the deplorables. Since Trump can’t just throw Hillary in jail, they need to appease the Lock Her Up crowd however they can. If it means throwing a “corrupt Hillary stan” out, then that’s what they’ll do and claim a victory. Or, you know. It could be economic anxiety. [inserts every eyeroll gif…
And for most of these people, it’s the first time they’ve ever cared to follow what goes on in Washington, so they have no idea which change is good and which is going to result in a total breakdown of our government. They just think that lying and obfuscation was a recent development and Trump represents some sort of…
Hahahaha we’re all gonna die but at least it will be because of decisions made by people with no experience #draintheswamp
I laughed when I heard that Trump seems to think he’ll have weekends off, but then I really thought about it. With him letting Mike Pence do all the governing, I’d kind of be amazed if he even puts in 20 hours a week. He’ll probably spend the rest of his time throwing darts at Obama’s official portrait.
What is the alternative? Give up, lie down, become cynical and cry about how unfair it all is? Some of us don’t have that privilege, so we’ll be fighting and not failing until we fail!
I wish I had 1/4 of the faith in the fundamental goodness of people and hope that Barack Obama does. I used to be a more positive about it, but since the election it’s been incredibly difficult. I felt like I finally saw people’s true colors, people who I actually know who I thought were smarter and more…
Yeah, that part was neat! It was absurd and ominous, like the beginning to a good creepy story, given that neither Marla nor Tiffany is the president.
No one is cheaper than the rich. No one.
Be sure to read the part of the story where the client who referred Maples/Trump to this stylist threatened her for turning it down: “You’re messing with the President of the United States.”
If he is removed, he is the “victim.” But none of us will care.
The only time I want to see that shmuck’s face is plastered on every newspaper under the splashy headline “You’re Fired!”
Can they please do a show about impeachment?
