Did you even watch the match? The entire stadium was yelling, trying to get Serena over the line.

Congrats. You truly are a shitty Serena fan. It’s good to know that you don’t support her for being her and a great player, but are primarily a fan to spite others. Fucking amazing.

It would be different because, although Maria Sharapova is a great player, she’s not dominant the way Serena Williams is. I just checked the rankings...Serena is #1, of course, and Maria is #3. But that's not the whole story....Serena has more than twice as many points as Maria. She actually has more than twice as

Grace did not shade anyone. Grace snatched wigs and edges down to the white meat.

You know damn well this isn’t about not being ‘supportive’ of Serena. Someone congratulated an underdog for achieving something amazing; you wrote “Fuck You.” Being happy for Vinci and supporting Serena aren’t mutually exclusive.

Where to get natural-looking lip injectables the next time I’m in Beverly Hills:

A visual representation of Her Majesty, Queen Grace Jones’ interview

A View to a Kill is my favourite James Bond movie because of Grace Jones. (and Duran Duran) As a kid I wanted to be her because she was so badass.

She tops them all with this from 1994!

BLOCKED

I love the speed round.

I forgot how next-level gorgeous Grace Jones was (is). Also she clearly starts at zero fucks and works backward from there.

I did! she was freaking adorable, and beaming with happiness. She was amazing today, and deserves all the credit. Truly ran, ran, ran and put that ball on the court!

I like Vinci. She’s a hard worker and a grinder. It’ll be interesting to see how she handles playing her countrywoman in the final! The Italian Fed Cup team was my fave for a while—they’re so supportive of each other and really good.

I agree. I was stunned how good she was. A true all-around excellent player. She was great, and very composed given the circumstances.

This kind of upset nearly as historic as a grand slam would have been.

Its too bad this woman’s amazing victory is being framed as Serena Williams’ loss rather than than her (43rd ranked!) win. She seems like a very humble, gracious winner.

Right? It sounds like the Italian lady knows her win was a combo of playing her best and not meeting Serena on her best day, and is proud of the job she did while acknowledging that. We can be happy for her and sad for Serena at the same time.

Serena is still queen.

Lots of people are upset about this and I get that we are all pulling for Serena, but I’m happy for Vinci all the same. Holy crap! She knocked out the No.1 player in her sport! And at No.43 no one expected she was capable of that most likely.
