You forgot to mention drizzling some melted chocolate over those ice cream sandwiches. And maybe even dipping them in some melted or soft-serve and then freezing them, and maybe even recursing from there. I see I'm not going to get any work done this afternoon...

For bonus fun: 1. Grill peaches first. 2. Gentle heat buttermilk, add rosemary, crush rosemary, let rosemary sit in warm buttermilk. (I actually bought peaches and rosemary at the farmers market at lunchtime for ice cream. Because real ice cream is better than desperation sorbet.)

This. I splurged on the Breville Smart Oven (sometimes good kitchen tools are worth it!), and it actually came with a pizza pan. And there’s a built-in setting for pizza. I had to adjust my pizzas a bit from what I do for my regular oven, but more tweaks than anything major (paying attention makes a difference).

Be careful. I said this above and some doofus took offense. Come the doughpocalypse, though, I'm on your side.

No, you’re wrong. I didn’t even imply that it was better, and I explained what the differences were in case anyone might have preferred those. It was and is purely an alternative, and I'm so judging you now that I know you can't read for comprehension.

I guess I didn't realize you'd found the recipe of your dreams. Deepest apologies for the inconvenience. Stop replying.

I'm not judging you.

3 cups of flour, ideally bread flour but AP is fine

I mean, why are wood chips good and cork chips bad? They're the same thing, people!

I can’t wait to be the guy who goes to the farmers market, rummages through the cukes, picks one, and asks, “Excuse me, but what time of day was this one picked?”

Migawd, there is no such thing as whipped cream out of one of these. That’s just foam. The only accurate recipe for whipped cream is right in the name of it. Whip the damn cream. All these things you suggest, Claire, they’re all good, but for the love of everything that’s happened since the damn Big Bang, keep the

Smoked and grilled fruit makes for great ice cream, too. (Has Lifehacker done a "Here's your favorite ice cream maker" post? Summer is next week.)

I like how many Lifehacker articles start by discounting the obvious response in the first half of the first sentence. But I bet people who have trained themselves to ignore notifications and alarms could train themselves to ignore this.

Well, except the best thing about working in the command line is drag and drop. Life’s too short to type paths.

I’m not sure why taking a minute longer to cook is a problem anyway.

I was so pissed off by the shadiness of ES 4 that I went to APK Mirror and grabbed an archived version of an early 3.x release, when it was still pretty decent. But then you lose the "Update All" ability in Google Play because you have to work around this one app that you never, ever want to update. Glad to see a

Yeah — I came here to ask whether the salt (and sometimes other minerals) in club soda was important to this or a bottle fresh out of my Sodastream would work. Sounds like it will; thanks for getting here first.

Does La Croix make club soda? I’ve only ever seen seltzers.

Yeah, I actually picked up Tippleman's bourbon maple syrup recently, and it turns out it isn't a pancake thing for me, but if you like smoky meats like bacon with a little maple, well here you are. It also worked really well with my butcher's boneless smoked duck breasts.

It also occurred to me that Terminal gets drag-and-drop, so type the command and parameters and drop the files onto the window and it will parse the paths. It's probably a little unwieldy, but doable, anyway.
