Most foods are neutral or acidic anyway, aren’t they? I think egg whites, leaveners, and some greens are the most common alkalines, but may well be forgetting a few. But it’s hard not to have acidic foods in there if that’s the case.

Better yet is not having dependencies, but although I still sure don’t get the “beauty” part, I see what you’re saying. Maybe it’s yet another millennial shift in language — what we boomers called “elegant.” Thanks for the patient and detailed explanation.

Does it work with a folder or an arbitrary selection? You need to beat the convenience of dragging any number of files, including from different folders if you’re using column view.

What am I missing? I mean, I’m old enough to have routinely used paper tape and punch cards, but once the shift to magnetic media was complete, you could easily delete files in any OS. What makes it beautiful in Linux? Signed, Confused

It’s a shame that such a little but noisy clique of LH writers insist that every cup be so fucking exquisite. The worst cup of coffee I’ve ever had from any Keurig is still perfectly drinkable.

None of this matters to me because I’m lazy, but I wanted to compliment you on your handle. I watched that episode again a couple of nights ago.

Wastefulness is an inherent part of lazy. (Also to Thorin's claim.) I mean, as far as I can see, all of these methods are more work than cold brew, which I have tried and rejected because it tastes like taint. (I hear.)

It only makes one cup of coffee at a time, which is exactly right for the lazy.

Kind of off-topic but kind of on: With thunderstorm season starting early in Chicago this year, I’ve been taking lots of slo-mo footage of lightning. But somehow Photos assumes I want full-speed footage except for some tiny segment that I guess is algorithmically generated, but it's always wrong and it's not what I

Is this an Onion article?

I use a Keurig. Just fine for us lazy types.

I don’t see the point of getting to bed earlier.

It isn’t! Sleeping until the very last minute you possibly can is what’s wonderful. When I wake up naturally even 10 minutes before my alarm goes off, I go back to sleep. I recommend trying it!

That’s not an omelette. An omelette is a real and specific thing. This is like writing a post telling us “Turn your floor into an infinite bookshelf by piling books on it!”

I'm not arguing, but the point is helping Claire use up her milk. A can of powdered buttermilk is good to have around, though.

Just make pancakes more often. Problem solved.

This app has gotten so crazy bloated. If I want to share my photos, I’ve got Facebook and Twitter and Instagram. I’m actually pretty good at remembering where I’ve been, so maps and location pins are kind of redundant. And having other people post photos to my albums seems kind of beside the point if it's going to be

“learned that if you're on Jerry Springer," that would have said if I'd read it before I posted it. But honestly once this observation entered my brain, I saw no reason to let it linger any longer and just got it the hell out.

I recently learned that Jerry Springer, throwing flour on people you hate is a popular way to show contempt. I'm guessing you'd just want whatever off-brand is on sale cheap that week for this use.

Well, you’re both right. If you’re doing concert photography, there might be times you want some blur to convey action, and there might be some times you want razor sharpness to highlight a really great split second. So even if you don't want to learn exact combinations of settings to use, you should at least get how

Can you block a TLD in a hosts file? Does 127.0.0.1 *.om or something similar work?
