I can’t decide whether this is mere OCD or veers off into more significant problems.

Well, no. Seriously, learn before reflexively commenting. People using an Ethiopian Sidamo are using one of the refillable, reuseable K Cups. Mine are more than a decade old and holding up great.
Like any other Mac app, Preview can easily make PDFs. Just print to PDF.
Fine, I’m That Guy, but the Ethiopian Sidamo out of my Keurig is just as good as that out of my French press, and it’s faster to make and to xlean up.
You use coffee filters in a sous vide setup? This may be worth a Lifehacker post on its own, but more details would be appreciated. Seems like a filter is the opposite of a vacuum.
You know this, I know this, and welcome to the real world.
Is that hash on the download page pasted in manually by the developer from her or his known-good copy, or is it calculated by some server extension or plugin or whatever? And to ask more directly, while the infected version was posted on their server, did the hash represent the original, good copy, or the infected…
I actually have a lot of wasted space in my living room and have thought about doing this for years, but then I realize it would be the cat's, not mine. (Which I'm fine with if she splits the cost.)
I’m still on 10.10.x. Did Apple get more draconian in 10.11? I have Gatekeeper set to "All sources," and when I double-click on a "rogue" app, the Finder gives me the dialog box shown in the bottom. No need to right-click.
I hate the idea of business travel so much that when I was offered this job in 2002, I negotiated a no-travel clause into my work agreement. My boss can offer, but she can't demand. (I have taken two brief trips and negotiated a day off there for myself both times.) I like travel too much to do it for work.
The Android version was awesome fun. I can’t use my Galaxy Tab 8 for anything else anymore because there are pretty much tracks where the controls were gouging out the screen. But I finished, which I didn’t do with the original version. And I earned it. I will be there for the XB1.
Inexpensive upgrades to first class came my way fairly frequently for more than a decade, but I tend to fly routes and flights that are booked solid now and don’t seem to be as lucky.
Although it’s the serial comma. Unless your elevators are lifts, your trunks are boots, and your president is the prime minister. Sorry for that, but I just do not get the sudden explosion of the British usage over here.
What 1988 BBS is this again?
I’m a copy editor. Mostly I massage copy to get it to match our internal stylebook and AP’s; then I get to fact-check. For me, the appeal is that it’s quality control. It’s the only place in my life where every single thing I touch is better for my having seen it.
I apologize for being the grammar troll. It’s complement. I know you can't fix it because it will change the URL and all the outside links will break, but maybe in the future...
I’ve had a Sodastream for more than a decade (back when bonded couriers had to deliver the gas canisters because they were on some list of potential explosives, one courier told me I was the youngest customer he had, because the elderly loved it for their highballs)... this may be the placebo effect in action, but I…
Well, it's relevant because you're squeamish about food that's left in the fridge as long as two weeks, and there's plenty of documentation that it's safer to leave it in there much longer, both anecdotal and standard industry best practice.
Well, one doesn't heat, one cooks. And a dry-aged steak should take at least 30 days, although it isn't a good idea to use your regular refrigerator for it, even if Alton Brown found a way t0 — better to have a dedicated fridge if that's your goal or just buy your dry-aged steaks from a butcher.
Two weeks is meaningless. Most food properly stored will last that long and longer. Sure, if in doubt throw it out, but a deadline as short as two weeks means you're throwing away a lot of perfectly fine food. My pizza dough's been in there longer than that.
