I have heard third hand (so unreliable in terms of actual reality) that there are multiple women who haven’t come forward but who have stories from his time in college and that women were warned away from him. I don’t know how true that is, but my feelings are generally that people don’t tend to commit sexual assault

I’m just a touch confused by this comment. I definitely agree that its great that there is a wave of trans POC receiving the acclaim they deserve for their comedy chops, but why is that relevant here? As far as I’m aware, Natasha Rothwell is either not trans, or not out. Did I miss something?

She’s a 1L. Check back in after August’s law firm interviews. Plenty of students don’t get non-profit, firm, criminal, or government jobs their first year when they went straight from college to law school, as she did.

I’m rather curious as to why, after disparaging Bustle, you have spent a significant amount of time rehashing exactly what they said about the Croc heel earlier. I get that the Croc heel might be news, but those two sites are literally the only main-stream blogs I’ve seen covering it, and you have the exact same takes

This whole season was so good. I love how mature the show is despite ostensibly being for children.

I was 13 when it started getting bad. Now I’m 28 and terrified to ever go off my meds.

I think it must be common to recycle names like that in dynasty families. My grandmother and her sister have the same names: think X, Y and then Y, X. They are NOT a dynasty family, but their mother basically thought they were.

Look, I enjoy her books. But I have met her in person and it was ... very off-putting. She made inappropriate comments (like old person fuddy-duddyness, not targeted aggression) about my friend being both married to a woman and a mom, and she was so full of herself (I get it, rightly so in most ways) that it was like

If you read the profile, she’s clearly not.

Just a heads up, she was never on Jez. She only wrote for Gawker.

*White women.* A) read the article, she explains her thoughts, which are related to getting better tips from stripping. B) WHITE WOMEN want smaller butts... maybe. Times are changing.

I did read the piece. It made me cry. It was beautiful and devastating. The responses to this piece that focus on the women are shame-y and gross in a way that no personal piece written by a woman would ever be. I’m usually pretty misandrist, but this is really gross, to devalue his childhood rape in order to focus on

Qualifying his rape as “bad” but his cheating as “really bad” is minimizing his childhood trauma. We only have his perspective, and yet Liza is immediately reducing his rape to something less than whatever perceived effect she believes the women felt.

What I disagree to is the explicit idea that you or any other commenter KNOWS what the women feel. You have no idea. Some women do feel extreme trauma over infidelity. Others don’t.

What is this bullshit? He cheated on girlfriends before getting therapy as a result of serious trauma. Did you read the piece? Why are you sitting here assuming feelings on behalf of his past partners when he is talking about suicide attempts and extreme fear of intimacy as a result of CHILD RAPE?

Why qualify this statement? It reads as though your response to this is “I feel bad for the 8 year-old boy, but worse for the adult women he later dated.” Yes, he cheated - but it does not sound like he raped anyone, so why qualify what sounds like a deeply traumatizing and lasting issue he bottled up as being lesser

She’s 25. She’s hardly a child, no matter what you might think. She can make her own decisions.

The cousin determination isn’t totally accurate. My second cousin once removed comes up as a fourth cousin - she’s my mother’s cousin’s daughter. So it depends too on how much you care about those connections. I’m really close to those cousins on my mother’s side, but not at all on my father’s (because we really have

I lived in Sacramento for a while working in social services. Even among staff at the local homeless day center ideologies were split. Staff loved the clients, but I know a significant number of them also love Trump.

I went to a palm reader for fun once and she told me my family was cursed and unless I paid her $250 for a cleansing I would never find a lasting relationship. I told her I was going to the ATM and then bounced because she was very persistent and didn’t seem to understand it the five times I said “that’s okay, I’m
