Not me, but my punk rock friends. They told it like it was, man! My friend was of the 'hated and proud' variety of punker, even though he was well-loved by everybody. He tried to be a dick like this, and in no way could he succeed.

And royalties pay you, just like Soviet Russia.

Maybe he'll just be like Cheney and get like 11 heart transplants.

Hey now!

I've changed my whole attitude about social media since last Tuesday. I logged off of Facebook a few days later and haven't returned. It's either an echo chamber, or rantings of "friends" I don't really know at all. I think it's time to spend time with real friends. I'm trying to do more of that. BTW I can see the

"Shelley, just drink this Acai berry elixir, available online at shameless-huckster.com, and your problems are fixed!" Edit: Sorry wrong quack (Dr. Oz), I keep forgetting about Dr. Drew.

I might have mentioned this before, but I'm so glad that I had no way to put my id on display when I grew up in the '80s. To quote Raymond Carver, I was full of "loud, half-baked ideas".

Rumble in the Bronx is awesome. I like his earlier stuff with Sammo Hung, like Project A. Physical comedy as good as Buster Keaton, which is saying a lot, but there is a chemistry there that makes it even better. Also a Safety Last nod in Project A. I love this movie.

See: Steven Seagal

We need a hug. I want to cry, thinking about what happened, but that's not going to help. Bernie Sanders' statement was nice. We're still who we are.

Clinton got more of the popular vote. I'm tired and grumpy, and I live here. I feel worse than you do, but if gloating floats your boat, go for it.

Social democrats don't really poll well in blue areas, so with all due respect, I think that wouldn't have worked either.

Something I discussed at work…Pence, or Cheney? I'd have to go with Pence. Cheney was not good for this country.

So could we get another Ashcroft, he of the Beltway Burqua?

I feel ya. Hate is such a dumb reason to do anything. As Hunter Thompson said after Nixon was elected in '72, "This may be the year when we finally come face to face with ourselves; finally just lay back and say it — that we are really just a nation of 220 million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy

Yeah same here, I work in Silicon Valley in a very diverse company. Lots of sadness and awkward meetups in the break room. Not seeing any joy anywhere.

I'll quote Kurt Vonnegut again: During the Vietnam War, which lasted longer than any war we've ever been in - and which we lost - every respectable artist in this country was against the war. It was like a laser beam. We were all aimed in the same direction. The power of this weapon turns out to be that of a custard

It is not hilarious to me at all when I heard Trump say that "Obama founded ISIS". It's the direct result of what we did in Iraq. Americans seemed to have forgotten that already, which makes me sadder than I already am today.

Don't have a cow man!

Brawndo…it's what plants crave!
