“Download the Destiny app to manage your gear.”
As opposed to the 6 month to 2 year wait PC has had for a number of other headliners? If PC is really your thing, this is something you are used to outside of true competitive games (overwatch) and F2P (smite, warframe) that have good reason to start on PC and console gets to suffer instead.
Agreed, what’s the point of alerts if they aren’t going to use them. A Class Action Lawsuit seems rather appropriate here.
“I’ve only recently been getting into Hi-Rez Studios’ Paladins, which is is on the more relaxed, Overwatch-y end of the spectrum.”
Yup, this is really the bottom line. This is a normally priced game, and there should be large (24 hour minimum) and frequent windows for everyone who paid full price for it to be able to play what they paid for - including those with busy lives outside of the game. Not having that is inexcusable. Doubly so when this…
Base cooldowns in D1 were 10-25% lower than in the D2 beta, and in the Destiny 1 beta you could level to level 8 and get grenade/melee cooldowns below 30 seconds. By current knowlege you can only improve one speed each with 4 pieces of gear. Many of the insider videos have included more complete gear than what we used…
Re: Khvostov, that’s actually my point, Destiny’s gunplay has gotten less and less exotic as time has passed, mostly in response to the impact of exotic behavior on PvP. That’s why I mentioned the Y1 exotics specifically, nearly all of which were nerfed to oblivion or effectively removed for long periods (Icebreaker,…
I played titan and warlock, both of which had very underwhelming exotics. The titan one is kind of neat but the damage output doesn’t match the feel, which means it doesn’t really replace alternative loadouts. I watched footage of the hunter pistol and that felt a bit like Fatebringer, which is nice, but I guess…
It really bothers me to watch these insider videos and see the same horridly slow cooldowns of the beta. I know the hope is that gear will give us enough added speed, but when I see it in every single build I have to wonder... where’s the space magic?
Players could earn back their lost SR after about 50 games.
Yes, and that is exactly my point with the sarcastic tone. :) If only you could get that coordination, it would be much less of an issue.
Having played him a little on PTR (but I’m primarily an xbox player so I’m fairly shaky on PC), I’d say he’s actually more accuracy based than genji in a lot of ways. His charge is harder to hit than genji’s because you have charge time and you need to actually hit them or you are potentially screwed - not only do you…
Correct, it stops as soon as he hits someone, there is no follow through like with rein’s charge. The idea of a Winston pairing wouldn’t be for a lot of protection either, just enough to last until Doomfist’s abilities give him some shields of his own.
with nothing to break an Orisa or Rein shield quickly enough
“But unlike Doomfist, most of these offense heroes have obvious escape abilities.”
Yup, legit, both teams only have one healer and someone insta-locked widow.
I play quite a bit, but I am definitely not rough with it. You can look around and the bumper and stick drift issues are quite common (same as the standard controllers, it’s a gamble). I only have a tiny bit of stick drift currently that is only really an issue in overwatch because it has a smaller deadzone, but from…
If they offer not only customizable xbox elite controllers, but based on the second generation design/electronics, with bumper buttons that don’t break, joysticks that don’t drift, and/or more than a 90 day warranty.... I will jump all over it in a heartbeat. :)
It’s worth noting you don’t really have to be a “frequent traveller” for this card to be worth it. Even as a single individual, one round trip flight a year with the additional point earnings and redemption value makes the additional (effective) $50 a year over the preferred well worth it, and probably most current…
