Yep, I totally agree. I'd like a return to that style with the ability to switch rolls on the fly.

"You guys really need to improve your combat mechanics in favor of something more action based and less passive."
Oh man, that last picture is the worst - you do *not* want to sit in a chair like that going through rowing motions... ow. :)
I want a version with abxy in the xbox layout and all prompts changed in the game. I'm playing xenoblade on the wii, and going crazy hitting the wrong buttons all the time. Damn muscle memory. :)
It's a beautiful game, but I don't know if I could play it. I bought Heavy Rain late last year on sale, and played a good chunk of it, but I got frustrated because all the good parts were when I wasn't interacting with the game. When I was it was just frustrating, because it felt like it was standing in the way of the…
As toto said it's about *always* having a connection. That's simply not the case for millions of people - satellite, 3G/4G as primary connection, PPPOE DSL (yes, that's still used in some countries), tiny internet quotas, business trips, vacations, military deployments, sailors... We don't all have internet all the…
I was talking to a friend yesterday, and I realized my perspective has switched. A few years ago I just wanted the ending, now that I've read Sanderson's other stuff, especially Way of Kings, I just want the dang book out so he can continue his own work and not have a repeat of what happened with Jordan. :}
As long as the humor and timing were top notch, I'm sure it would be, which means Butcher would have to be tightly involved. I've seen him speak, and if any author could make an amazingly funny, geeky video game, it would be him.
Force your way through if you can, the last couple books since sanderson took up the torch are quite good. Even though the writing is a bit different as a result, the characters get fun again. Of course, you may also want to wait until the last book to make sure it's not a flop, but I doubt it. :)
The site says fall 2013, but who knows: [www.mistborngame.com]
How did I not know this?! Man I hope it's good. At least it should have a good story :)
I always play flight/space sims inverted, but never FPS. It's just the way my brain is wired.
I used to be part of a pc gaming clan with a bunch of old friends, unfortunately as we got more casual (you know, older, more real life taking up time) it broke up.
This sounds like a lot of fun, unfortunately multiplayer would definitely be friend-centric, and I only have a whopping 2 friends on PSN, and only one of those ever plays games.
I'm rather wondering if this episodic story is going to end up just being a more serious take on the story red vs blue is developing into.
If their first language is an asian language, it's actually not that bad. Certainly well enough that they could enjoy and understand an english language game.
I am still so looking forward to Torchlight 2. :)
A good reminder never to deposit money with a company close to bankruptcy. It sounds horrible, but this process ties up all their funds, so it kind of makes sense. The news of GAME's failing has been rampant, so giving them money for something they can't immediately provide was risky.
Um, Huh? I haven't played a single RPG in this generation that plays like NES FF. The last turn based JRPG I played was FFX - everything else has at least had some ATB mechanic or been akin to a MMORPG. Tales of Vesperia is the most traditional game I've played on a modern console.
Having the ability to respec does not affect the ability to play unique rolls, nor does it mean that you can't stick with your bad decisions and level up with them. In fact if you've ever played games like Borderlands, you'll find that sticking with "bad" choices by self-will can sometimes benefit you later on, as you…
