It really sucks that the description doesn't tell you about this. Hopefully they'll at least fix it.

Yeah, but the point is that because of the hardware, it's not an unreasonable *base* configuration. Having a high base configuration isn't important as long as you can get the options you need - in fact often it's a detriment for those trying to save money. We'd have more Macs where I work if it were for the fact that

"The only unexpected bit about the Catalyst is that it's sentient and that it offers more than one way to use that energy. This is not enough to qualify it as "Deus ex Machina". "

And I never referred to the indoctrination theory. I was saying that your immediate prior experience with the Illusive Man's indoctrination leading to his attempt to control the reapers gives you a very strong reason to doubt the Catalyst's intentions as it presents you with your options. Not that you are

Ignore everything else we've said... As long as you believe that the Catalyst/star child should be accepted at face value, we will never get anywhere in our discussion. You believe I should accept what the Catalyst says as purely factual according to your definition.

I said individuality, not individuals.... If the human reaper doesn't appreciate individuality, it doesnt represent humanity, or organic life as represented in the game, in any meaningful way.

"All signs indicate that they are indeed all monuments to the knowledge and genetic structure of each organic species that was used to build them."

"Just one synthetic species could alone doom all the organic life in the galaxy in the wrong circumstances, and the Catalyst won't be willing to take that risk"

If the Catalyst was not seaking an alternate solution it would not have presented one. Despite what it says, nothing Shepard did prevented it from repeating the cycle at that point. It allowed and encouraged the development of an alternative solution to the problem. I interpret that as a goal and intent.

... oh, and Shepard sure as heck should have called him out for it.

If my goal was to improve the genetic makeup of the human race to further it's advance, and to achieve that goal, I committed racial genocide every few hundred years, providing what I saw as a clean slate but in effect limiting the gene pool and causing recurring problems due to a lack of genetic variety... I would

Establishing the Crucible's function as we see it in the end as a pre-existing plot device would assume you know what it's function is. Deus ex machina can be foreshadowed to occur, and still be deus ex machina if you don't actually know it's nature until the last moment (see... Deus Ex, or half of Star Trek).

"The Mass Effects, for me, were always about keeping friends alive, of giving them a chance to smile at each other one more time before the credits rolled."

Good advice, but I don't see this model available from maingear (no 11" at all)?

They are neat, but far from necessary for gaming or productivity at this size. The hardware wouldn't be able to keep up anyway, so the tradeoff isn't really worth it.

They exist, but they are pretty much universally regarded as crap. There were extensive threads on Dell's website regarding people trying to find the best one for the M11x - none were anywhere near as good as a proper matte screen.

One of the biggest annoyances with the M11x was the glossy screen - it generated a lot of glare. Does anyone know if this is a glossy or matte screen? A quick look at the site isn't entirely clear about it.

... It's an 11" screen. You do not *need* 1080p on an 11" screen. That's what your desktop is for, and this is not a desktop replacement, it's a portable gaming machine.

You do realize we're talking a 2.5" drive bay and a small case that you have to keep the heat reasonable in, yeah? Also you can stick a 1TB drive in it if you actually checked the options.

I doubt it has much to do with bodily censorship - more likely there are concerns that this level of bizarre proportions will just lead to people's head exploding in confusion.
