Um, this seems a little misleading to say the least. This chart is worthless without more info.

The word is "to", damnit people.

I'd be curious how it compared to a daylight CFL, which clearly your sample is not :) The GE daylight CFLs are my main bulb of choice.

@Robbzilla: I agree honestly. I'd actually bet they are trying to work it out. They'll just keep narrowing down the system until they get what they think is most fair. They have better statistics than we do on who's abusing the system.

@wjbean: Well gee, I would certainly hope that hasn't happened to you as a seller ;)

Our normal COL increase is much smaller than that (and less that the actual measured COL increase for the area), so I would definitely appreciate it.

@battra92: The deadbeats I understand, but Sellers were using negative feedback as ammo against the buyer (give us five stars and good feedback or we'll give you negative feedback). There were so many of these slimeballs once word got around that ebay couldn't keep up with the complaints. I was almost a victim of one

If Gizmodo truly loved me, they wouldn't force me to use twitter and effectively advertise for them (like they need it) to enter a contest. Bummer. :(

@MegaShark: I am, but since the article is fairly vague I took it to mean both. The statements certainly apply to both. And while it may not matter for NTSC video, other video formats as well as photos, games, and HTPCs push more RGB info that a TV can display, so there is at least some small benefit there (not as

"Indeed displays claiming to have more than 100 percent of any standard color gamut aren't able to show colors that aren't in the original source image, says Soneira."

@DavinClytias: many monitors actually have rotatable stands, and if they don't, so do many mounts, just check before you buy. The Ergotron MX/LX/NeoFlex arms all rotate easy.

Don't mount your monitor to the side, you will get neck/shoulder pains. You should always be looking and sitting at your monitor straight on.

Woo, I guess this means EA is going to start paying for everyone's XBL Gold subscriptions when you buy their games?

I can guarantee this will however improve business e-mails. Some people use caps lock as their default mode of operation, even for casual correspondence. Not to make a point, but just because they don't understand why it's really obnoxious and hard to read. It often makes me feel quite stabby when they come across my

@Demon-Xanth: Hmmm, and here I was thinking this would be a neat way to share media with a non-computer-savvy grandparent. Now... not so sure. :)

Lately though, google maps does make me want to tear my hair out. It is painfully slow at times now... it used to be smooth as silk, but now it's slow to zoom, sometimes forgets to redo a search when you recenter the maps, won't respond to clicking on objects... heck, I've even had it return completely arbitrary

@pixelsnader: *Because* it became a social norm and once it became such, it hasn't really been an issue, even though it's talked about a lot. Since everybody does it generally, the income is usually fair in the end. It sucks the most at bars and restaurants that have sporadic or seasonal business, and as a result,

* What did I learn from this interview?

@Interstella5555: No, I don't watch much TV any more. Don't think watching it would change my opinion much though. :)

wait, what'd you say?
