I hate to break it to ya but SEGA has not worked on a Streets of Rage game or really any 2.5D brawlers of mention, in 26 years. There is not a single employee who worked on any of the Streets of Rage games that I know of who even still works for SEGA. They would not be your saviors in this case.

It’s included because it’s what the western playerbase expects to have in their shooter, but they don’t want it on esports streams so they can broadcast those to a Chinese audience. And since Riot is owned by a Chinese company that’s going to be a big part of the reason.

I hear your concerns, but I don’t share them. For whatever reason, Firaxis has been running very short marketing campaigns for XCOM products for quite some time.

Or it could just be an experimental, smaller scale/smaller budget/much smaller priced fun little piece of side content put together by a small team to give fans something while waiting for XCOM 3.

It’s $10, maybe don’t overthink it so much.

I mean, it’s $10 dollars. It’s not a full price AAA title, its clearly gonna be something smaller, maybe a little weirder. I understand hesitating, but honestly, if 10 bucks is all it takes to support Firaxis and let them stretch their legs with some new gameplay ideas, I’ll be happy with a short, potentially flawed

Sorry if I was unclear, that’s what I meant. In Dishonored 2, you can adjust the difficulty so that, for instance, enemies will be able to see higher up, or they’ll be more accurate at longer distances.

I get that, but the rise of difficulty sliders is a relatively painless way to allow players to customize their difficulty AND has the bonus of keeping a game fresh. Shifting various inflections has gotten me to replay Dishonored 2 a few times

This nailed it for me

Luckily, they already have a robust system in place for streamers you don’t like. It’s called not watching them.

Square Enix is giving away the following for free (add to cart, checkout and receive steam keys)

Great. So you’re allowing the game AI to learn and adapt to player strategies, in order to beat them. How long until they decide that an optimal path to beating the player is one where the player is no longer breathing, and thus, unable to enter controller input. Nanoseconds? Femptoseconds?

Sir, the overhead bins are simply not equipped to handle the amount of baggage you are carrying.

Thank you for reassuring me that there are other intelligent sane people on the internet that also think the outrage should be at appropriate sources.

This feels like the most manufactured of manufactured controversies. I Googled “savage” as requested, and got the following as the first result.

None of the definitions feel inherently racist, and the initial adjectival definition feels like it serves the game perfectly. Sure, the developers *could* have chosen a

Well you’re throwing the baby out with the bathwater here and this article isn't "gamer outrage," it's level-headed criticism of a product

thanks for the new profile, Mike.

There are loads of free-to-play games, demos, and dirt-cheap (<$5) games on the eShop, and the Switch’s menu throws all of those--and massive $60+ titles--in a big pile that you can’t really do anything about. The economy of the Switch more than justifies the need for a better UI.

Difference is you can turn off the PS4 ads in the settings. Can you change the switches lack of folder creation?

I didn’t realize the 2k20 in the title was the expiration date.

Gives a new meaning to the term: “armchair general”.
