I work in a customer service based industry where we get to work from home 2 days a week, basically any job that just requires email, phone and whatever system your company does their thing in.  Sales jobs also have a decent chance of working from home since it’s again mostly phone and email.

Agreed, I wear pajamas when I work from home, although I don’t sleep in pajamas so technically I am getting dressed still.  My neighbor across the street always gives me a hard time when he sees me taking out the trash or whatnot in my pjs.

He’s a unique breed though.

I mean he said “shop” in the backyard.

Like 18 mpg is a good thing....

Completely agree with the last two paragraphs. Part of the reason I put ~12,000 miles a year on my motorcycle and ~3,000 on my car is because I’m typically traveling alone so why take a larger vehicle that is worse for the environment if I don’t have to. Unfortunately I pass a ton of SUVs and trucks with a solo driver

Sorry, you’re right I got you wrong. I didn’t realize you were in the too much free time / writes long diatribes on the internet to feel smart camp. Obvious mistake on my part in hindsight.

Jalopnik is populated by car lovers with bad takes on motorcycles, so the stars and comments mean very little in the real world

You could have just said you’ve never ridden and don’t actually know what you’re talking about.

You lost credibility in one phrase: “inherent instability of a motorcycle”.  I’m closing in on 100,000 miles on 2 wheels and can confirm that motorcycles are very stable.

I must be blessed, I pay $39/month (plus taxes, etc.) for a 500 mbps fiber line.

The whole point is that it’s hard to teach kids right from wrong when these rich, influential men clearly never learned the lesson.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Sure it looks nice enough, but $18k for an 11 year old salvage, lifted 4x2, with 145,000 miles, a custom 2020 paint color that was clearly cobbled together in the last 2 months and is immediately being sold? CP

I clicked on this article expecting to disagree, but you’re right that 200 hp is excessive for the vast majority of riders. My sweet spot is right about 100 hp, my 800gs occasionally works a bit hard with its 85hp but is generally more than up for the task as was my Bonneville and it’s 65 hp.

I agree, I finally got a good look at one in the wild the other day and was really disappointed. In photos I’ve always thought it looked good (or at least good enough) but in person it was just.... wrong.

Strong disagree, even if you’re not riding aggressively you’re going to hit a 40-45 degree lean angle on a regular basis.  This is a horrible idea, I can’t even imagine turning a bike in the rain with a car tire on it.

Putting a car tire on a motorcycle is an insanely stupid idea.

$140 for the Mophie charging pad, that’s insane.

I agree that the sales aren’t quite there yet, but the popularity is.  The fact the HD is coming out with an ADV shows they can’t ignore the trend anymore.

I agree, why black everything else out and have chrome wheels?

In high school my 64 Chevelle was broken into and they made off with my book of burned CDs (it was ~2002 and obviously not a huge loss). Luckily they didn’t try the ignition, which I hadn’t locked and would have started without the key.
