I enjoy that in paragraph two you referred to Tim Cook as “Apple Cook”.  They should actually make him change his name.

I too prefer to shit the old fashion way. However wireless charging is really convenient and so is dropping all your devices in one spot to charge.

I’m also running a 2010 MBP, it got a little slow but after upgrading RAM and adding a SSD it was back to running like new.  I agree that being stuck pre-Mojave sucks.  Right now I’m supplementing with a 10.5 iPad Pro until I figure out what new Mac laptop to get.

You’re confounded by Annihilation because it’s a dumb move masquerading as a smart movie. Stop thinking about it, it didn’t make sense.

I’ve been living with a “big fat notch” on my XR with it’s “nothing special” screen since its launch day and neither the notch or screen bother me in the least. I like my phone a lot and actually prefer Face ID to Touch ID, but to each their own.

I feel your pain!  I have a rare Dutch/Germanic last name that is similar to a popular beer, but not the same.  Typically people repeat back the correct spelling and then write down the beer.

Haha, nope where I’ve lived most people don’t know about Devonshire.

Very true, it could be worse! Unfortunately were we lived in Ontario, Canada and then Southern California people weren’t familiar with Devon in the UK.

Mazda3 looks like what I would buy and remove the badges from if I wanted and couldn’t afford a Tesla Model 3.

My name is Devon, it’s a completely normal name yet I have spent my entire life explaining that it isn’t Kevin, it isn’t spelt Devin, and no I don’t care if you pronounce it Dev-on or Dev-in. I still receive emails at work at least once a week addressed to Kevin, it’s the burden my parents gave me.

I mean, we get a decent size earth quake maybe every 10 years. Still better than the frequency of hurricanes or tornados in other parts of the country.  The annual fires are no joke though.

I get that tablet’s aren’t for everyone, but my 10.5 iPad Pro has replaced by laptop. It’s light for traveling (work and pleasure), I can use Citrix Receiver to access my desktop and do my job, the Apple keyboard is decent and I got one for $89 on Amazon, and it’s great for web browsing. I have a desktop that I use

I’m a fan of the JVC Gumy Plus, decent sound plus a mic so you can make calls and they last about the same length of time as these Panasonics. There’s no shame in having a cheap pair of headphones around.

Who died?

The only worry I have left is when the business turns commonplace and there’s lots and lots of cars out on the road being driven by casual buyers whose enthusiasm about cars is limited to points A to B and back again.”

Umm, those are the people buying them here in Southern California

I agree, it was sarcasm.

Yeah, the casino planet side plot that amounted to nothing definitely did not suck.

The way he says “industry” pains me every time.

One of my coworkers crashed one and broke her shoulder this summer, missed two months of work.  Like the article says, people are hopping on these with no training or protection and think they’ll be fine because they can handle a self propelled scooter.  There’s a reason they make you get a license to go from a
