“there comes a point when they dig in and you just don’t want to be there.”

Hate to say it, but D&D made the right decision and maintained a holistic vision for the show’s ending. Excellent direction would have been jarring alongside piddle-poor writing.

“Did the people protesting outside of his and Anzari’s shows (including a Stanford professor) get the memo?”

Yeah, they probably did get the memo a year before she sent it out.
You’re bright, huh?

Also, um, protest is not censorship, dummy.

The Trial of R. Kelley Part 2?”

It’s almost as if people have some deep-seated issues with who or what Gadsby is, beyond what she has to say about Louis CK...🤔

I’m actually going to put a lot more blame on the people willing to put Louis on stage more than Louis at this point.

...yeah, this is getting pretty depressing too.

It is funny. The first half is funny and then in the second half she carries on to talk about issues that put the first half of her show in a whole new light. That's why it needs to be in a comedy format, rather than a Ted Talk because she deconstructs her own show and if your expectations aren't that you're going to

What exactly is this price that he supposedly paid? As of last December, he was still selling out shows and telling ‘jokes’ about the Parkland shooting survivors and trans kids.

This is probably the most measured and cohesive thing anyone publicly said about CK after everything happened. She’s somehow being sympathetic without excusing him whatsoever. Honestly, I love this woman.

maybe not a rapist but definitely on the rapist spectrum.

How, exactly, does protesting a comedian constitute “censorship”?

I’m really disliking the “but she’s not as funny!” tone to the comments section here.

I’m gonna recommend anyone with this opinion look really hard into why that’s their first response and decide if that’s really the hill they want to die on. If so, well...it’s cool for the rest of us that you’ll be dead about it.

jesus fuck at the losers in here who are piling on Gadsby “she’s not funny lulz lulz look at how contrary I am.”

> an endless, depressing spiral of misogyny and edgelord bullshit

I feel like protest is a perfectly reasonable response. People are angry. I think that can coincide with not trying to completely erase and pretend buddy never existed. Like she says, then we don’t learn the lesson.

Hannah Gadsby. It’s right in the title. You have the most powerful research tool the world has ever known at your fingertips. Look her up.

I mean, she had the biggest stand-up special of last year so I really feel this on you for not knowing her.

“Is that a no or a maybe?” he then asked. “We’ll see,” she said.

Sophie Turner is pretty bad. She does “pout” pretty well, but that’s it.
