Will Packer and Aaron McGruder's "Black America" show for Amazon is the right way to do this sort of alternate history look. Dealing with the same issues, but doing so from a POV that's empowering to people of color and won't be providing Neo-Nazis and Klanners with flattering imagery for their propaganda.

That is true; in my experiences LotRO has had a very pleasant community. It's also the one MMO I would play solely to appreciate the countryside and enjoy the atmosphere.
