This seems like an activity that a couple could enjoy together: checking out members of both sexes. My ex and I, while traveling typically, would check out everyone together - male and female. I guess some people would be reluctant to do this, but attractive people are attractive and it was kind of fun admiring

This is very, very good. I have nothing really more than that to add, I'm sorry.

I referring to the comic strip actually.

In the Earth Hive series the space jockeys have a weapon that emits energy at a frequency which basically microwaves xenomorphs. That was the first book trilogy, i believe, to carry the story past Aliens.

Where is this from? I've never seen it and now I feel like I am missing out on something awesome

God I know. Since the moment the trailer dropped I've been a rabid fanboy, checking almost daily for news, which, it I keep it up, could potentially ruin the movie for me by getting my expectations ridiculously high.

You're the only person I've seen yet to mention the lighting. It gives everything a cartoonish, over-CGI'ed reflectivity that is really distracting, so I'm in total agreement with you there.

Haha, there are few things I am canonical about, but goddamnit, Aliens, Predators, and Aliens vs. Predators are on that list, in spades. I'm a fanboy through and through.

All of you are wrong, the jockeys are a distinct species. They are not humans, they are not humanoid, the expanded universe, from graphic novels, to comics, to full length novels has repeatedly affirmed that the jockeys are an elephant like race, armed with advanced weapons, capable of telepathy, and the original

True story, goddamn I can't wait for this.

Hmm, you clearly have never seen the Alien trailer.

Are there any other fanpeople out there losing it with this trailer, or is just me, or is it just wild overoptimism after the trifecta of disasters that were Resurrection and the Unmentionables (AVP, AVPR)? I'm watching the trailer on repeat and wondering how I can wait six months.

I thought the exact same thing.

Oh no....I was looking forward to seeing this but I didn't realize he directed Hitman. That was a breathtakingly awful film. Actually, it was almost, but not quite, impressively awful. If awful had been the goal, Hitman would have been a work of genius.
