No, Rich is firmly in the “elder millennial” camp. He’s 35.

I’m an Elder Millennial as well, and Rich is consistently the writer at Jez with the worst takes on almost everything because he views everything through the lens of his NYC existence and basically has no touchstone to anything else.  It is baffling how

While we’re on the subject of failures, why don’t you eat some avocado toast or something that Millennials supposedly do instead of buying houses and diamonds? Are you really mad that instead of fixing the world up the way you want it to be, we spent our youth getting fucked up and piercing ourselves in strange

They’ve already failed. Blaming the previous generation for not fixing their problems is how you know.

Cool. I look forward to Millennials fixing America’s social ills since Gen-X failed. Then I look forward to articles like this, written by Gen-Z, complaining that Millennials did not fix America.

You’re right-I could see a campaign like that happening given how quickly things move.

Well... that’s true.  I just don’t think there’s any real weight behind this one.

Twitter campaigns have a lot more power than they used to.

Probably everyone reading Jezebel agrees that The Apprentice was trash and Trump has always been a chaotic buffoon.

This post feels premature. If there’s ever a movement to edit Trump out of the historical record then yes, obviously we should oppose it. Slippery slope? I guess, but the call to remove him from Home Alone 2 and Culkin’s approval strikes me more as the “eff that guy” impulse and not a real push to do any more than

But there’s a world of difference between editing out a scene to fit into a tv time slot and editing to remove someone that some people now, many years later, find offensive.

There are more Americans outside of the tristate area than within it. And plenty of people from NY and NJ still voted for him--or, at the very least, watched his TV show--knowing full well who and what he was.

Amen! Erasure of uncomfortable history is incredibly foolish and kind of a huge problem in America.

Mr. Grapes built me a second island to solve the counter space and storage issues. We put it in the nook since we don’t have a kitchen table (we made the family room next to the kitchen into the dining room).  It's even on wheels and can go with me if we move.

I want one in the middle of my bathroom too. So easy to clean around!

Also, most kitchen counters face a wall. Working at an island is more convivial, especially if you’re a mom and the kitchen is where the family hangs out, or if there’s more than one person cooking. Yes, a big table in the middle of a kitchen serves the same purpose, except it’s a lower height so not as comfortable to

YES - as someone who went from a tiny apartment to a home home its been amazing creating something I LOVE, NOT HGTV worthy either...

I’m not sure what the snark about islands is... it’s more counterspace and more storage, two things every kitchen needs more of.  If your kitchen is so palatial and grand that you’re putting beverage freezers and trash compactors in it, the island existing isn’t the real sign of excess.

I do enjoy looking through my Pinterest saves to note how impractical a lot of the very pretty setups are. Like, oh. ..that’s a very nice ceramic mug of coffee sitting on a decorative tray ON YOUR BED. And a very nice plant and sculpture on the nightstand leaving no room for an alarm clock, glasses, cup of water, etc.

I mean, I long for one simply for the glorious proposition of actual counter space, but when I think about how much stuff and cats would inevitably end up on it, it’s just a clutter attractor if I’m honest.

I am finding this “house tour” series to be both extremely fascinating, and a little bit off-putting in it’s tone. Maybe I’m reading too far into it, but this and yesterday’s “entryway” piece give off this vibe of like. . .wanting these things in your home makes you a slave to capitalism and a silly person who falls
