Remember kids, KEEP YOUR SHIT AND UPDATE THE MEDIUMS IT IS STORED ON.

It’s pretty simple. The Dreamcast was a budget gap system with no DVD capabilities. The PS2 was the cheapest DVD player available at the time for a while and it also played great games. This context matters in that the PS2 had a HORRIBLE launch line up and software drought for almost a year. It also had an early

Obi-wan was a coward thrice now.

Let’s not ignore Sony trying to add a $10 premium while not promising better pay and conditions for its developers. Let’s also not forget that both Sony and Microsoft have said to their shareholders that their long term goal is games as a service and to remove independence from consumers by, hopefully, getting to a

Not sure why people comment on things they clearly don’t understand as if their opinion matters.

Except in the Nintendo cases so far, they ARE legally clear because they legally did it; or at least haven’t been found to have done anything illegal yet in their code and backward engineering, and they’re unlikely to have done anything illegal. It’s not exactly a difficult thing to do. The hobby behind this is just

On PC this update seems too little too late and nothing is more annoying than having a non-optional update foisted upon you for primarily marketing reasons.

The dumbest thing about going after Metroid fans, or customers, or citizens with rights, is that Metroid sells fucking terribly. This is sure to help them sell more, for sure. Absolutely.

Bethesda likes to wait until their current game is released and then respond, often and almost exclusively, half-assed. But at least they can say they were listening when they really weren’t and then continue to make bad decisions. So, they slowboat the next game but once Starfield makes a profit and they feel safe

It’s hard to give them the benefit of the doubt when all they’re doing is talking without context. Would it hurt to give context to their lies, I mean explanation?

Yeah, I’ve been saying it forever but every Bethesda tentpole game has ALWAYS been quantity over quality. Lots of dungeons in ES but they all look and sound the same with almost nothing worth looking for in them. Fucking terrible.

It’s more about devs responding to market conditions. Believe you me, they’d love to be able to make a game and be done with it let alone worry about support costs. But consumers by and large want “games as a service” which is to say, spend as little as possible to get the most hours of play to be supported by whales

lol such an enthusiastic video...

I wouldn’t mind original video content. There’s plenty of things to talk about from a myriad of topics within gaming and this industry. So much that would benefit from in-motion video.

A port or remaster? It seems it would only make sense to remake it. On console it still plays fine and the only unbearable ugliness is from the characters.

E3 was neat when development cycles were shorter. It was at its most elusive and influential neatness when magazines were the only way to consume news. Was still pretty cool when early, mass consumer, internet was catching up.

And furthermore, what the original staff did since then isn’t exactly...AAA material, either. AA maybe. Not as bad as what RARE has been doing but I’m not sure it really mattered all of the talent abandoned ship almost immediately after Microsoft made their purchase.

I say good luck. Companies and people can’t even be bothered to tag anything properly. From Music to Porn.

You don’t need to upgrade every 3 or 4 years now. More like 6 to 10maybe even 12 now. Seriously.
