A port or remaster? It seems it would only make sense to remake it. On console it still plays fine and the only unbearable ugliness is from the characters.

E3 was neat when development cycles were shorter. It was at its most elusive and influential neatness when magazines were the only way to consume news. Was still pretty cool when early, mass consumer, internet was catching up.

And furthermore, what the original staff did since then isn’t exactly...AAA material, either. AA maybe. Not as bad as what RARE has been doing but I’m not sure it really mattered all of the talent abandoned ship almost immediately after Microsoft made their purchase.

I say good luck. Companies and people can’t even be bothered to tag anything properly. From Music to Porn.

You don’t need to upgrade every 3 or 4 years now. More like 6 to 10maybe even 12 now. Seriously.

Final Fantasy will remain as soulless as ever and with ever pretentious and awful stories. FFS...

Don’t forget RE VIIlage. And I agree they are all in the same bag, but I just think they happen to be awful. It’s nice some appreciate it, though.

“There are of course companies that don’t require this, but when was the last time they shipped a great new product? It’s been a while.”

So, you think that because this has been happening for decades it’s ok? Guess we better let those kids light up some Lucky’s and Camels! After all, in the past, there were candy cigarettes and bubblegum cigars. And hey! they still make them. Lucky everyone!

Let’s just say almost all the sites here used to have thousands of comments at its peak on certain articles and the reply list was EXTENSIVE. Even generic tiny missives would get up to a hundred replies. It was basically a glorified forum. Including banhammers and some form of management and decorum. Being a grey

I wonder what bean counter thought it would be good to close the loophole (fine) but also retaliate against those who got in already. Moreover, that same bean counter would have to dismiss all the innocent collateral damage involved in such a counter-intuitive policy.

A terrible, corrupt, politically well connected union can absolutely be worse than no union at all. A bad union can negotiate some of your basic rights away that you’d still have and be able to leverage in court had you not joined a union. A bad union can be just as disinterested in your compensation and rights as a

Why CRT (proper phosphor pixel emulation, not just black scanlines) filters matter:

I still think they’re going to try a Sims Online again or a Free to Play Sims successor to 4.

This was always a weird critique for me. 3 was barely more crass than 2 when it’s all weighed together. 1 and 2 had bad stories that were confused with what they were trying to do. 3 was bad but focused on what its intent was and at least that made it good in its own way.

Instead of Saints Row IV they should have made a new IP in the Saints Row universe and then a proper Saints Row IV. Everyone would have won.

This card generation is almost over and mixed with other market conditions it will take another two generations (including the upcoming one) in consumer cards to see another impact like we did.

Both are essentially on-rails games that give the illusion of exploration; that have features unlocked by acquiring power ups or equipment. Neither of them can usually be beaten, naturally, without acquiring these power-ups or equipment and used immediately after to further progress.

Gamepass only matters if there’s exclusives in it. No exclusives and whatever Sony is shoveling is good enough, regardless of price or value. They’ve proven that with PSNow.

What would have some of you children do when game generations only lasted 4-6 years on average? To say nothing of PC “generations” and how truly expensive PC stuff used to be.
