I’m a millenial too and agree. I’ve said for a while most millenials are just Boomers 2: The Sequel. Tough pill to swallow for some.
So I’ve been toying with throwing summer tires on my dually but I wanted to keep the 16's. I don’t really like the Alcoas on old square bodies but I feel like that’s the only way I’m gonna find anything close to stock overall diameter.
I think it’s also a lot of projecting by the commenters around here for whatever reason. Not a boomer or really a muscle car guy, but most of the dudes I know who are would 100% agree with the rational take that they’re severely outdated and outmatched by modern tech. They’re still cool for what they are.
Fingers crossed, I definitely love the idea and they nailed the looks IMO.
Well then get over here and join the mob bud or you’re gonna miss the march.
A guy can dream. But yes, realistically, it ain’t gonna happen.
Agreed. I’d still buy the single cab for around town and close by for normal use stuff. I’d still need my old dump truck for truck stuff but this would be awesome for general use and commuting.
Oh look, they built a truck for the ten of us that would actually buy a small single cab truck!!
I would legitimately buy either the Wolf or the Ace. I don’t think I’ll ever really have an opportunity to, but I would.
If it has 4 wheels and runs and drives I’m in. I just love driving. From big commercial rigs to Miatas. I can find something to love and appreciate in anything I’ve been behind the wheel of and I love nothing more than pushing stuff to the limit of what it was built to do and maybe some things it wasn’t.
I shit you not, I’ve done this.
I threw some wider, meatier wheels and tires, and stiffened up the suspension a bit on my 240hp Crown Vic and I have a BLAST driving that heavy pig at the limit. Anything I’ve driven above 350, while I have the skill to wrangle it, isn’t as fun at least where I like to go. I’d get an 86/BRZ in a heartbeat if I didn’t…
Did something similar on Rt. 15 S. one bright Saturday morning in Fairfield county CT, except I made contact because the guy gave me no time or warning he was coming over. Even if I wasn’t accelerating, I couldn’t stop in time. It was about 15 years ago and I was in a big shitbox BOF Cadillac. My bumperettes must have…
6.7 Cummins
Bonus points: It’s a manual!
They sometimes don’t get the credit they deserve from the masses, but that’s better for our wallets!
We’ve gone back and forth a few times, your comments have always been a good read. I’m sorry for your loss friend. I’m glad you’re keeping your head high through all of this and I wish you the best of luck.
Nothing glamorous, a Crown Vic LX Sport. Big boring reliable family sedan to the untrained eye. To those in the know like us: V8, RWD, BOF, solid rear axle tire shredder with a surprisingly healthy aftermarket. Made sure not to get a clapped out former police car (she would have shot that down) so instead got the…
