The video kind of makes it look like you’ll have to put the bolt back in the top hinge no matter what. It doesn’t look like there’s anything to hold that hinge together without a fastener.

Touché!
Everybody’s super duper conscientious until someone they like is in trouble. Bet we could scroll through their history and find some comments mocking BIG TRUCKS!!! or coal rolling for bonus points.
It seems like he was looking for the ability to use a chassis mount shifter that would be easier to swap out. But I’m pretty sure you can at least get one of those for a 6060.
I’d take either one of these for ‘85
The one thing I’ve always loved about Audi’s design from the past 10 or so years is the shoulder lines are well pronounced and almost level from front to back. It gives them an almost long, low, slab appearance like cars from the 60's/70's and I absolutely adore that look in general. A lot of modern luxury cars seem…
Grandpas?
Correct, you can honestly open up your selection to some cooler stuff while potentially lowering your budget by going with something FWD/RWD with a good set of snow tires. I get a company car and 98% of the time it’s a full size 4x4 truck. Every once in a while though, inventory gets tight and you need to bring home…
These are the same people who were probably ridiculed by the “truck bros/no replacement for displacement crowd” (more than likely their asshole daddies, older brothers, and classmates) at a young age for liking their Miata/VWs/etc. because of a small demographic of the buyers at the time were women/gay men/”nerds”.
That’s the XLT interior. The base gets all black. You can spec an XLT pretty high with that interior.
What the hell are they using as police cars there currently? That thing sounds really good! Is that a V8? Mean sounding 6?
This is exactly what I wanted to say here and you did it better than I would have.
I started coming here for all the normal car blog stuff but goddam did your absurd yet eloquent ramblings brighten any given day for me.
I have some experience with this. There are a few reasons. First, Toyota is notoriously stingy with fleet incentives on their vehicles, especially the pickups, so I don’t believe they’re that interested in catering to large fleet buyers like Ford and GM are. By doing this, Toyota is more than likely trying to hold the…
I see a lot of things I wouldn’t do but you know what, fuck it. I’ll take it as is.
I use the term blindly in reference to the vast majority of people who buy them, and that’s based solely on the badge. You know it, and I know it. Folks who have no clue what a good driver’s car is if they were sitting in one. They’re status symbols, plain and simple, like the Escalade. And mostly it’s only superficial…
It’s essentially the same reason people still blindly buy/lease the most recent BMW sedans over cars like the Genesis(es?) or even the Cadillac twins. They don’t know any better and they don’t care. There’s an image to uphold.
Had a Cadillac from 20 years ago that had a “stealth mode”. One button and all of the interior light sources shut off except for a small numerical speed readout and a low fuel warning light. The absolute optimal way to cruise low lit backroads at night.
Speaking of Dodge captive imports, I saw a Dodge Raider for sale the other day and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one in person.
