Speak of the Deville

I love that episode!

Listen, I love Cadillac as a brand and as a cultural icon. I’ve loved Cadillac so long it’s a part of who I am at this point. But I can’t afford to buy them new. I personally don’t buy anything new but everything I’ve owned up to this point was either a used Cadillac or GM sedan or truck. I just bought my first non GM

In a series full of great scenes, definitely one of the top 3.

At the end there definitely.

Now playing

When it started the belly flop I immediately thought of this.

My dad had a 97 Bonneville SSEi, a 95 Seville STS, and a 97 Deville. All black and tan leather. Bought them all as clean, one owner cars. These are the cars I grew up driving. My father even gave me the Bonneville.

My buddy and I are “car people” and his dad had a 2nd gen and we both loved it. We lived in the town with the highest recorded snowfall of the entire affected area of W.S. Nemo in 2013 (over 6" an hour at one point) and his little truck navigated that snowpocalypse quite admirably for a unibody crossover.

I didn’t know I wanted this. You bastard.

Toobs is correct. Even the late 00's trucks had defects like the driveshafts being weaker than their contemporaries. Ask me how I know!

Me too buddy.

I daily drive a pickup but I have an 05 LX Sport in the garage waiting for a nice jog on Saturday night. That looks like an HPP car. True hidden gems of the lineup.

Rory, my man.

You must not drive very far into Connecticut.

Corporate espionage my dude.

Yup, we covered that above. Either way the Civic ended up looking more like the Cadillac then their shared precursor. I do like all three cars though so I’m cool with the similarities. See, the Cadillac is the infinitely cooler and better looking car in my opinion, so it’s subjective I guess. I’m not sure why we’re

I wouldn’t kick either one out of bed.
