You keep telling yourself that Westbrook.

The GOAT

It is pretty sad how GM mismanaged a pretty iconic brand the past few decades but some of it is just perception. They’ve had some duds, believe me I know. At the same time there’s also a lot of things they’ve done right, at least in my 35 years on this planet, that kept me endeared to them. I also kind of like

I didn’t know that either. I was aware of Bush and heard he was ahead of his time but had no idea he basically invented two pretty “modern” systems like these. I wonder what made him abandon the oil governed system? Looks like I have some reading to do.

Thanq you!

Excellent piece man. I’m a big Cadillac buff and I never knew this. Lookng back, Cadillac has been responsible for quite a few major automotive innovations. Enough so you’d probably be able to make an entire series of articles out of it.

Ok, I can see that. I like the theory. I saw the other Chechen themed books by Penguin after a google search. I really wouldn’t put it past the Nolans or Goyer to have intended this based on your evidence.

Wait, because Pengiun Books published a book called I Am A Chechen? There has to be more to it than that.

Ooo, please please. Explain the Chechen/Penguin one. I never noticed that.

Well said sir. I wish I could give you more stars.

Agreed, I was just speaking to you actually liking the design. IMO, I think the the plain-jane F30's would possibly take the cake of attractive simple sedans but it’s a little ornate and may not fit the “parameters” Torch set above.

See, I’m one of the few that the E36 does absolutely nothing for. Now, I appreciate and respect it for what it is, but it does not elicit any emotional response from me whatsoever. Every single one of those questionable design choices stands out to me like a sore thumb and it’s almost too mundane and boring. From the

Don’t fuck with me Westbrook.

I had three of those Mid 80's Broughams back in the late 00's. I would have suggested these but I missed the party. I’d recommend the 86 and up because you get the Olds 307 instead of the HT4100. While not very fun, the 307 is practically bulletproof. So much so that this car and engine combo is illegal in some demo

Correct. I’ve been providing fleet trucks for the Forest Service and other agencies for almost a decade.

Don’t know about back then but see my comment above. You’d be surprised what the gov, even the forest service, drives around in today and in the last decade. Upper level stuff isn’t all the uncommon nowadays. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ford wanted to offload some Broncos and made some upper trim stuff more appealing

For the different kinds of concessions the gov gets on purchasing vehicles, sometimes it’s more cost effective to buy one or two levels up from bare bones base. There are times where XLT and LT trucks are within a few hundred dollars per unit to the XL and LS trims. More options for similar money means they’re more
