Based solely on actual wholesale and retail data, no, it’s worth less.

I agree with you about Audi’s in general but these are a little different. And I just cant find any real data that points to this thing being worth more than $4500 to $5k retail and that’s being very generous with the physical condition. Realistically this thing is priced about $2k too high. If it’s what you really…
I agree with everything you just said. And I also loved my Northstar knowing full well what dangers may have been lurking ahead. Luckily I got to sell her before it happened. As far as I know, she’s still out there running on the original motor and studs. The suspension on the other hand, was turning into a nightmare…
I have experience with rural New England winters and the Hakkapeliittas. I get through a ton of differing wintry conditions with a non studded set on my big V8 RWD boat just fine and I live on a mountain across the street from a ski resort. I highly recommend them.
What do you guys think of this being the basis of the new Chrysler 300?
That’s incredible. I had no idea. See, I love that kind of outside the box thinking. I would absolutely love to see that done. If you pull it off you should do a write up on Oppo or somewhere else. That’s the kind of build I geek out for.
The first images of my parents house had my dad playing basketball in the driveway. At a certain angle there were two of him. We used to joke that he is definitely the kind of guy who would go through the trouble of cloning himself for the sole reason of having someone to shoot hoops with.
Pretty cool idea. There’s some backyard engineering necessary there. Isn’t the 3.0TT transverse mounted? Hell, it’d take a lot of fab work but you could go all the way and figure out to get the DTV AWD unit in there.
Absolutely agree with you on all points there. I’m a big fan of the LS swap but I understand exactly what it is.
I get where you’re coming from. I’m just being a PIA. Although I do find it funny that there are guys who cried about the pushrod LS for a long time are now excited by the potential of this thing.
Is that why Ford just introduced a brand new pushrod of their own?
I should have specified its pedestrian safety standards but it’s absolutely why cars across the spectrum have higher and higher belt lines these days.
Rygel 2020!!
I’m a pickup guy. I have a ‘19 pickup and this is my big gripe with new trucks. Problem is crash rating mandates have caused belt lines on everything to get so high that it’s made modern trucks as tall as skyscrapers. Do the truck manufacturers make matters worse with design choices? Abso-fuckin-lutely. But most of…
It’s always nice to see someone lovingly post an add for such a wonderful, incredible piece of machinery, with so much reverence and attention to detail, at a price that he wholeheartedly believes is a fair market value, only to check all of the retail and auction sales data to find out it’s worth roughly a quarter of…
You are not. And I pray to the automotive gods that the rest looks as good and they have the balls to produce it.
Here’s a good list of some of the specific cars.
Many, many moons ago Cadillac really was the “standard of the world”. They were high tech for the time, luxurious, fast for their size and frankly beautiful. Not one manufacturer in the world at the time could compete. Cadillac had the might of the largest automotive manufacturer and one of the largest corporations in…
I agree with what you’re saying here. I’ll add that I believe they need to go electric and be good at it.
