This has already been said many times by people far more eloquent than me, but fuck you Barsanti, fuck you Tatiana, and fuck you to the AV Club for doubling down on this completely manufactured excuse for a “controversy.”

If SHE can not only see and acknowledge the origins and how that was a problem - as well as be willing to acknowledge that the criticism was valid - perhaps some of you should re-examine your own initial responses too.

It’s giving the AV Club too much credit for originality to say they “started it”. Rather, they were among a number of people who all ran toward a fire to pour fuel on it.

How dare she do the thing you wanted her to do!

and a predictable controversy quickly surfaced surrounding her involvement in an organization with overtly racist beginnings

Great journalism guys. Top notch stuff, not clickbait garbage at all.

Congrats, this post is dumber than the article...which says a lot!

The funny thing is that I’m not some huge fan of Kemper’s. I didn’t watch The Office. I thought that she was good in Bridesmaids. I liked Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and thought that she was good in it, too, but it’s not like she’s one of my favorite actors.

Why do you feel the need to defend AVClub so hard? Did someone bump into it?

You think the only people who found this story to be a ridiculous nothing-burger were dudes?

This was fantastic. Thank you for your service.

Were there roving bands of self-important dopes deliberately bumping into the women for the express purpose of prompting the irritated response? Because if not, it pretty much ruins the comparison.

What exactly has Sam been doing for the last week that’s more important than this story, and the vital fight against teens participating in Southern balls that don’t seem to have been racist when she attended them, but were definitely racist before she was born? Weekend box office? Reporting on “alternate universe

I’m going to dissect this bullshit one bit at a time:

And, I would add, less interested in this web site.

Now, almost a full week later, Kemper has finally decided to respond to the controversy by posting a statement on Instagram in which she distances herself from “the organization” (she doesn’t name it) and says that she “was old enough” at the time to have learned about it before getting involved.

Jake Flores said it best

After 4 movies as a taciturn wrecking ball in a tux, he's got a lot of overacting to catch up on.

He’s probably more on par with William Fichtner

I’m trying to think of a movie in which Mark Strong has appeared which wasn’t improved by his presence, and I’m coming up blank. He honestly might be one of the most reliable supporting actors in the movie business.
