In media circles, there’s a weird lukewarm-ness about it. It’s really not reflected in player sentiment, I’d say.

Zero Dawn was lovely once I returned to it after Breath of the Wild. Forbidden West didn’t hit the same highs for me. The story wasn’t as compelling, the combat was... fine. I hope they can stick the landing with the third.

For me, I just can’t get over the Arkham of it all. Even after having a few days to mull it over.

When I played it, and I got to the bit where you’re wandering around the farmhouse at night before heading back to Seattle, I damn near stopped playing the game right there, rather than actually make that decision. I knew what it would mean at the end of the game.

You should check out the analysis on Digital Foundry. Overall, it’s not a massive visual upgrade outside of a resolution boost to 4K in the Fidelity mode, an option to play at 40 FPS in Fidelity mode, and the ability to push the game around 75-100 FPS in Performance mode with the option to unlock the frame rate. To quote the guy from the other thread: “Starfield wasn’t snubbed. It simply wasn’t deserving.”

The t-shirt isn’t even fucking white. This is another case of lazy ass lying cops who can’t tell the difference between a grown Black man and a child. Then again, they also can’t tell the difference between Black men nor Black women, nor Black men vs Black women.

On Thursday afternoon, our officers were investigating a string of Kia thefts, including a specific one reported on the 3600 block of W. Jolly Road with multiple suspects. A witness described a suspect as wearing neon shorts and a white shirt. A responding officer saw a subject matching this description and attempted

They don’t need to investigate.

Right on the money. “This Final Fantasy went in a direction that I don’t like” is a mature, reasonable statement. “This Final Fantasy isn’t Final Fantasy and if you don’t agree you’re an idiot” is something a petulant child would say.

I find it really disingenous how people are saying this one’s not a real Final Fantasy because it’s an action/RPG hybrid, as if one of the most acclaimed games in the series isn’t an isometric tactics game, and two of the numbered entries aren’t MMOs. Final Fantasy isn’t defined by picking your party’s attack commands

You don’t get to decide what’s Final Fantasy, the people that own and make it do. It just isn’t what it used to be or what you want it to be.

Nobody should have to convince you.  It says “Final Fantasy” on the box. It’s Final Fantasy. Period. That you dislike it is irrelevant to that fact.

No one is claiming they’re repainting the Mono Lisa here. But video games are still media and I want to approach all of it with the same level of respect.

No one’s repainting the Mona Lisa here. It’s a video game, and the very minor edits in question had nothing whatever to the story (to the extent that fighting games have story). This is fine and good.

Hey buddy, a ton of gamers are furries, how many classic games characters are anthro animal characters? Just look at how popular sonic the hedgehog is with furries. And sonic is….. a videogame character.

how karen of you, scamming a refund for the food you consumed because you couldn’t play video games.

Lol everybody said the console market was dying at the beginning of last gen as well and Sony cranked out nearly 120 million PS4's. The PS5 is already on pace to surpass that. Nintendo sells Switches hand over fist. Only the Xbox is really seeing struggles in the hardware market, and you have to think that’s largely

Redfall started development before the Bethesda acquisition so I doubt its core vision had anything to do with MS. Bethesda tried making niche, single-player games before. They all sold poorly. Dishonored 2, Prey, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, Evil Within 2... all were commercial failures. So, Bethesda decided they
