Saving money by going electric is a bit of a stretch because the trend is to raise registration fees and taxes on electric vehicles to compensate for not paying taxes when purchasing gas.

I prefer to name him “Psychoman”.
Let’s hope that the fad of low profile tires ends soon enough. At least around here, the roads are far too deteriorated to risk driving without the protection of more substantial rubber to cushion the shock of broken and pot holed roads.
I’ve been driving an electric vehicle for a year now and love it.A bit of advice to Ford about this...Explain to the potential buyers that they won’t have to replace the extremely expensive battery in a couple years, like their neighbor’s golf cart required. Most non-technical people don’t know the difference between…
The majority of electric haters here have never experienced the awesome sensation of instant torque, whether it be in a car or on a bike. They see a machine like this as a threat to their dinosaur powered diesel smoke belchers and yesterday way of life.
I was driving down the road when a group of teens pulled up along side of me and started yelling “Your wheel’s going around in circles”.I pulled over and checked the wheels and found nothing wrong..Strange.
Had that same smell when a plastic bag melted onto front brake rotor on my motorcycle. The brakes also didn’t work too great
I once owned a ford vehicle that had mystery coolant consumption. After several dealer attempts they finally found it was being eaten by a turbocharger seal.
I’m gonna trade in my Volt for this
And they call ME dumb.
Neutral.I bought a low mile used Volt a year ago.The more I drive it,the more I realize how antique that dinosaur powered vehicles are.I’m hooked on the instant torque, great handling, and very little reason to stop at a gas station.
Great work,David. You obviously put in long hours.
I’m a boomer.I intend to buy a couple of them just to piss off the naysayers and dump some of the accumulated wealth that my ungrateful children would have otherwise inherited.
I don’t want a self driving car and won’t pay extra for one.
As a life long gearhead who started driving an electric car a year ago,I am now an official convert from ICE vehicles. The instant torque,at any speed,is too intoxicating to ever go back to dinosaur fuel.Harley Davidson is way ahead of the curve with this, let’s hope they succeed in a big way.
Dissimilar metals causing galvanic reaction [corrosion].
Ford seems to realize that the majority of potential buyers are suffering from range anxiety.Until battery technology and charging infrastructure are vastly improved,if ever, then gas powered vehicles will reign. This is why I drive a Volt.
I hear many of the same negative comments from people who have never driven an electric car.Well, when the day comes that they actually do and find they have been missing the entire point, then their skepticism will prevail. There is no substitute for electric motor torque. This is our future and the sooner the better.
Try driving an electric vehicle some time, you may become a believer like myself.
I drive a Volt, which I really enjoy in so many respects. When questioned about it,there are two categories of people. One type seems threatened by electric vehicles changing their way of life [diesel truck owners]..Then there are the vast majority who fail to understand the pleasure of smooth, quiet, instant torque.
