Anything damaged inside of the plastic and tin body panels is gonna be unreparable,it’ll never be the same.

Having been in the autobody collision repair business for decades, when looking at the repair aspect of something like this,I shudder.Vehicles like this will certainly be scrapped after somewhat minor incidents. How will this affect insurance costs? It stands to reason that they will increase substantially, offsetting…
In my long years of auto ownership,My Gen1 Volt has been the hands down greatest driving vehicle I ever experienced.Rock solid, dependable, hard accelerating, solid handling, smooth as glass, unaffected by range anxiety like the expensive competition, and as an added benefit,it’s a blast to drive. In my humble opinion,GM…
When I showed up with my Volt at my friends house he reacted in disgust and horror at the idea of “an electric car”parked next to his GMC diesel pickup.I had and still have no clue as to why he is so offended.Still,he persists in claiming his diesel is way way faster[it is a little faster].It seems as though he feels…
That 10 amp/hr rated battery might jump start a car.

In the photo. the Bolt EV looks like the coolest, most advanced golf cart ever conceived.
Agreed.GM has to make money,or what’s the point of continuing?
Volt
My 2015 Volt has been an awesome vehicle. The problem with it is that the general population has no understanding of what makes it tick and some even seem to resent the presence of an electric car making their ICE vehicle appear ancient. And I forever have to answer the question asked “You mean it only goes 40 miles on…
I wish the best for Harley, but the electric bike doesn’t make the trademark badass loud noise that riders find so pleasing.I mean.it won’t scare old ladies and little kids,so the charisma is not there.
When I bought my Volt I had to explain to the salesman how it worked,he had no idea and could care less.
I notice that many of the super expensive replacement items are cameras.Since I recently installed a complete rear view camera and monitor system in my older car for the whopping cost of $40,it would seem as though the OEM manufacturers have a cash cow.I mean really? Replacement camera is thousands of dollars?
Neutral. The Sears Allstate moped,my stepping stone to the illustrious Honda Cub 50.
The thing most commented on about my 67 Camaro is the “bat wing windows”
And it could include a pizza oven and cold beer dispenser to make the repair day seem more familiar .. .oh,and a first aid kit.
Now,if they are serious about selling cars to gearheads like ourselves, they’ll forget self driving altogether in favor of bigger v8's,dashboard knobs that a driver can actually grasp and turn, and manual transmissions.
I’ve got a 2015 Volt too.I also drive it in L,regen mode.Drove a Ford Edge today and holy crap was it different.Let off the throttle,it kept going. The transmission shifted endlessly, changing engine speed. And the gas gauge showed how costly it is to drive.I don’t get why all electric is so popular, the Volt is a perfect…
As with the description of any and all electric vehicles, the subject of range anxiety goes hand and hand with the problems of finding a convenient charge point.I don’t get it.Battery technology has come a long way but it still isn’t the answer.I drive a Volt,it can go across country without worry.
Thanks,I simply cannot wrap my head around long distance range anxiety.Driving a vehicle with an onboard gas generator is comforting.
The Tesla looks great in so many respects. But,I purchased a 2015 gen1 Volt Premier with very low miles for the paltry sum of $17,500 a few months ago.And is is loaded with options, under full warranty, and it’s surprisingly quick and nimble. So,the extra forty some thousand dollars to own the Tesla just doesn’t seem like…
