When you make up your own board certification then use it to say you’re an ophthalmologist, I’m not sure how much it counts as being an ophthalmologist.

I’m not sure that’s accurate.  As I understand it he graduated from medical school but couldn’t get board certified to practice so he tried to get his peeps to make a “board” for him and that still failed.  I’m not sure he actually ever practiced legally.

I’m an NIH grants management specialist (not at NIAID). I can’t imagine the scrutiny this grant file documentation has had. Good reminder to make sure everything is documented properly. We always used to talk about do our actions pass the “front page of the Washington Post test”. Well, here’s a real example of that.
