As an engineer, I would say that most of that is incorrect. Particularly the "absurd amount of control" and "override most any managerial decision". And not dealing with customers. Although most automotive engineers don't deal directly with customers.

Not exactly, the key simply turns from run to "accessory". The key doesn't fall out.

So they have made all of these variants. Which ones are the ultimate editions... say one road car and one track car?

I needed a cheap car for my 60 mi (each way) daily commute for a new job and wanted to get a XFE, but couldn't find one anywhere. Had to get one transferred just to get a manual. I actually really enjoy the car though. It's not fancy, but it gets good mileage and can easily carry my wife and kid. I do need to get

Yep, this is a really cool story, but probably overstates the impressiveness of the accomplishment. Cool way to go about proving someone wrong who has insulted your technology, but 40 years later, CVCC is a neat historical oddity and the cat converter is standard equipment.

This cat just took away one of my arguments for dogs in the cats vs dogs debate.

UK is definately better than US. Those are the only two that I have experience with. I still record every episode of the US version, but I usually end up fast forwarding through most of it.

I grew up in Louisiana and this is the first that I knew that the n-word was originally part of that. Crazy.

Representing all generations

Minor one I do pretty regularly is turn on my turn signal when going around a sharp bend in the road, or turning into my driveway. I do hate it when I cut someone off or otherwise screw up and know that I am in the wrong.

Great Article. I have drag raced most of the cars I've owned. Had a few missed gears, not run as fast as I probably should, but so far haven't had any major mishaps. I've never driven anything this fast though. It's more difficult than most people realize and also more fun.

A long time ago, but somehow in the future...

This is a really weak article.

"It doesn't even raise the likelihood that you'll get through more red lights"

I have to agree. I've never been a fan of the styling, but they are everywhere, they are cheap, and parts are available to make the car anything you want it to be (also cheap).

You and me both. I understand the competition was tough, but the fox's are cheap and performance parts are readily available (also cheap if you buy them used, which you can).

Yeah once the Camaro and Fox Mustang are gone, I don't know what to believe anymore. Jetta vs Neon was a tossup for me, but some of the others are shockers.
