Honestly - I think a huge part of it is the DNA test thing. She rolled it out like it was some triumph and just showed her ass in the most frustrating way possible. Her first national step was handing Trump a big W and immediately illustrating why she wouldn’t be able to effectively run against him. Everything else

They’re definitely not as left as Splinter (or even as left as I’d like) but they’re far from centrist - though you’re totally right in that’s how this site likes to characterize them. They have their problems and blindspots but I think they produce good stuff (The Wildnerness, Pod Save the People, Keep It are all

People swung against Hillary in part because they saw her as too establishment. The idea that people think the same thing won’t happen for Biden when he’s been establishment longer than her is fucking insane! His prospects of beating Trump are absolutely something to worry about with him. He’s a huge dumbass who can’t

You realize that all you people saying: SO SHE DID SOME DUMB STUFF WE ALL DO! Is exactly why we can’t have reasonable conversations about this, right? Stop trying to dismiss shitty actions completely. What are you getting out of that? Making yourself feel better about something bad you’ve done that you don’t want to

If you equate workplace harassment with tipping poorly then nothing I or anyone says is going to change your mind about this. Good luck to you!

This is one of the best pieces I’ve read about a public figure’s questionable past online/interpersonal actions since it actually wrestles with the nature of personal growth within Cancel Culture (TM).

But you took the time to come here and comment. Maybe just move on if you’re not interested!

It’s more that response sucks. “Feel bad for the people being bullied that don’t have support”?? Are you kidding me? I feel bad for the middle class her father helped wreck with his tax bill vote before he died. It’s entirely fake and it is all self-serving. If she actually wanted to do something, she just wouldn’t

Lol Beto is not my first, second or third choice for the primary but y’all gotta chill with this kind of talk.

This is a wildly ignorant comment that ignores just how much work Republicans have done to make sure that people have a lot of reasons to not even be registered to vote. Educate yourself, please.

Plenty of people don’t know the process of registration in their respective states or how they could even vote on election day - they likely have work that they can’t take off from without losing pay or kids to pick up after school, etc.

It’s perfectly fine to not want Beto to run, but I wish people would stop suggesting he could potentially unseat Cornyn. As inspired as I was by his campaign for Cruz’s seat and as big as his profile is now, I don’t think he’d have any shot at Cornyn’s seat. If he couldn’t beat Cruz, he definitely can’t beat Cornyn.

What the hell are you talking about - Bernie Sanders’ campaign’s mishandling of sexual harassment complaints was a huge story on this site and many others.

Except the point here is not to hold a woman accountable, it’s to hold the boss of this workplace accountable - that’s Gillibrand. Malik should not have had to harass someone in front of Gillibrand for her to hold him appropriately accountable. No one is saying Gillibrand should have controlled Malik, but she should

I’ll wait to see what Beto’s policy initiatives are before settling on a POV on his potential candidacy. For what it’s worth, I hope he comes out further to the left than he has been because I think he has a unique ability to motivate people to get involved in this process.

I’m already tired of this school of thought and I don’t know why the NBA is allowing itself to be defined by it.

Look, I like Nikola Mirotic and Julius Randle but they are not the pieces you need to get you to the next level. Holiday is probably the best out of that bunch and he was outshined by Rajon Rondo in the playoffs last year. I mean, Randle’s on a 2-year $18 million deal, he’s a great piece but far from what AD needs

The best argument for me why the Pelicans should absolutely take Ingram, Ball and Kuzma is D’Angelo Russell. The Lakers team clearly has no clue on how to develop young talent and that isn’t something they want to do with Lebron James on their team anyway.

They already screwed their fans over by not effectively building around AD or convincing him that they have a plan to do so.

There are theories that Clippers/Bucks are false flag preferred destinations. The galaxy brain thinking (which may be right who knows) from Pels fans is Rich Paul through out those teams to further the idea that he will play else - just not Boston. Because he knows those teams don’t have the assets to offer.
