I mean, I enjoyed it, but it was undeniably pretty bland. It was oddly paced and overall pretty flat, lacking any distinct style. I expected Boden and Fleck would bring some focus on smaller character driven moments given their history and style but, really, it was a pretty by the numbers superhero movie.

If only the actual film was more than just OK. It at least had less logic holes than Black Panther, but it was still rather bland entry.

This will be old news this weekend after Shazam! makes a zillion dollars.

He would have, but then he’d shoot Trump in the back and declare himself President.

...I... I completely forgot about this.

Goose eats fucking Thanos, the end.

Ditto. I’ve been a lifelong fan since I was a kid. Oh Hell, just listen to my recent podcast episode about the history I have with the show...including a nickname I was given in High School.

Except for Family Dog, The mummy episode, and the B-17 episode. Oh, the magnetic braces episode, but that was it.

Amazing Stories is bad? Awww man, that makes me sad.
Even the WW2 bomber episode? I loved that as kid

You can get the ‘80s version on DVD in a box set. The only downside is that includes the third season, which was produced in a hurry for syndication and is not good.

I really wish the other versions, especially the 80's, would get official streaming releases. The 80's version was really good and from what I can tell, underappreciated.

I would watch the hell out of Goose hacking up various celestial items he has...err...”collected.”

They added seven minutes of Goose coughing up a hairball post credits.

The second series was an hour long, but the hour could be one story or two stories or part one of a longer story or whatever. But I think it was usually two stories.

I’m unsure about it, too.  The second episode is much shorter and I’d say more successful, though the coda did seem tacked on.

Yeah, it nailed “Twilight Zone” storytelling and style, and felt right, but you could see every turn in the plot a mile away. There was one nice little twist at the VERY end that caught me off-guard and elevated the episode for me.

About 1/2 way through The Comedian, I guessed what would ultimately happen to Samir down to the exact wording and the way the shot would be framed, which was kind of Twilight Zoneish in itself.

I watched the first episode on YouTube last night, and found it to be way too predictable. Hopefully the later episodes are better.

I don’t feel like he’s “acting like” Rod Serling so much as channeling him somewhat. Of course, he’s doing the pauses and all that, but that’s built into the reading of those lines I think. I think he’s doing “Jordan Peele hosting The Twilight Zone” for sure. I also have complete faith that he loves “The Twilight
