I did enjoy the idea that they would test a ship’s deflector shields by letting another ship fire on them. That was a fun scene.

I am questioning the wisdom of allowing us to see Tom’s perspective. It’s hard to say without knowing how the final two episodes will play out, but I imagine it would have been more satisfying to see West and Hays figure out what happened to Tom, and maybe offer a glimpse of those events as they pieced it together.

Gaten appears in a lot of commercials. Maybe that’s not a good barometer of success. lol

Congratulations on 17 remarkable years as late-night background noise.

Cybertronic Spree is a band that knows how to OWN a cover song. There’s a lot more going on beneath the veneer of Transformers cosplay.

Dammit, Rivers!!!

I thought the breakout stars were Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo?

Again, Weezer’s versions of ‘80s pop hits are catchy and listenable but completely fail to justify their existence compared to the superior and very similar originals.

Oh god, I am so embarrassed!

Yeah, I had completely forgotten about the chicken people before that became important again.

I think you’re correct, and that 2015 Hays dismissing the question was being sincere.

Let us not forget Captain Fuller from 21 Jump Street

Good catch about the eyes. Also, Sam Whitehead didn’t look like a younger Steven Williams. lol

Dude, Deep Throat shows up and it doesn’t even register? Seriously!

Exactly. This show is about the ABSENCE of the children, not the children themselves.

I’m open to the idea that the writer has a point here and there were missed opportunities for rich analysis. But without elaboration, it sounds like an empty complaint.

Par for the course, at least here. Representation > Storytelling

I’m unsure whether True Detective could use another two episodes or so per season. Sometimes I feel like it would allow the plot to flow more naturally. Other times I think that will just create more bloat.

Yeah, it was:

That’s supposed to be a different character, I’m assuming, and not the same character played by different actors.
