Went back and watched Top Gun with a friend who had never seen it. In the 80's (when I was a teenager) it was the shit. In 2021 (now that I’m middle-aged), it’s just kind of shit.

Hey, snark all you want but I stand by this. Pierce was the foil/antagonist who drove most of the best stories and the show didn’t feel remotely the same after Chase left.
