The more I look at that picture, the more I think it’s seared ahi.
So, were you high or the pandemic really getting to you?
Allison, you know we love you and cherish you and care about you, but I’d like you to treat these replies as you would an intervention....
Lol I’m Indian American so, your complaint about including curry powder in the tater salad would actually be falling on the right ears.
You used fennel. We can never be friends.
For the love of God people stop trying to make watermelon “meat” a thing, and turn this into the delicious salad that it longs to be
Kid can’t stop himself from putting curry in everything.
Outside of my husband and our kids I’m usually the only white person there. I live in Southwest Baltimore and most of my friends are black. I’ve got an unofficially adopted 20-year-old black “nephew” that lives with us, too! And you don’t want him making the potato salad. Kid can’t stop himself from putting curry in…
Hey, you doin’ alright, Allison?
And I completely disagree that any of those should be called a burger. Those are names for people too lazy to actually name something, and instead try to capitalize on the existence of something else.
I see no reason why watermelon shouldn’t be grilled, but given the fact that the main ingredient is an intact cut instead of ground and formed, I’d say this is just a sandwich and doesn’t fit under the narrower definition of “burger”
I’m all for grilling fruits though. Grilled pineapple with some cinnamon on it is delicious. Not going on my burger though.
It doesn’t happen. First, there’s the maillard reaction on the outside, which sort “seals” the burger. Next: watermelons are mostly water, much of which evaporates during the cooking process, thus concentrating flavor and compressing the cell wall structure—sort of like letting the air out of a tire. It’s a burger…
I know if you compress watermelon it has similar properties to fresh tuna. Never thought of making a burger out of it though.
I eat grilled watermelon all the time in the summer, and it’s great, although grilled pineapple is better. I’d bet that a grilled pineapple sandwich would be better than a grilled watermelon sandwich.
Catholicism gets a reputation for being narrow-minded and conservative. While there is some truth to this characterization (e.g. the official position of the Church that acting on same-sex desire is sinful), Catholicism also believes in doing good works like helping the poor. Catholic belief thus lends itself to all…
Yeah, I don’t think pro-Trump evangelicals are that complex to explain.
No, you’ve given it a fair shake. This is, somehow, worse than the soup tube idea a couple weeks ago...
